So putting them to Death
is normal out there

Yes,didn't one of them (a teenager) get away with the death penalty?

Livia 13-09-2013 12:26 PM

I am happy with the level of punishment, considering the level of the crime.

Ramsay 13-09-2013 12:30 PM

Would prefer them to spend the rest of their lives in prison getting raped themselves on a daily basis

AnnieK 13-09-2013 12:32 PM

Think they should be castrated first....

Niamh. 13-09-2013 12:50 PM

Hopefully this will deter people over there from doing similar things, it seems to be a problem over there

could be

But the rest will be hanged - that maters more

smudgie 13-09-2013 01:04 PM

Very pleased with the result.

Shame we can't take a leaf out of their book.

Nedusa 13-09-2013 02:10 PM

They should keep them locked up in Solitary for 15 years and then Hang them.... Like they do in the US !!!

Kizzy 13-09-2013 02:26 PM

I think they got off lightly....

Marc 13-09-2013 02:31 PM

I was actually shocked at the severity of their punishment. But I don't disagree with it, just saw the words 'sentenced to death' and thought wow!

Kazanne 13-09-2013 02:35 PM

I agree with all of you,I read some stuff on what they did and it was horrific that poor girl, hopefully this will deter other fiends.

Jords 13-09-2013 02:51 PM

Im shocked but certainly wont be arguing against it.

lime 13-09-2013 03:19 PM

I don't agree with the death penalty because of the possibility of wrongful convictions.I would much rather they had to live the rest of their lives in squalor ..being raped on a daily basis would be a bonus. The moment they are executed any pain or shame they feel finishes .

DanaC 13-09-2013 03:44 PM

Yes and no.

I am entirely opposed to the death penalty. I am also entirely opposed to a prison system in which inmates live in squalor and are routinely raped and abused, but that's by the by.

I disagree with the death penalty so am never happy to hear that someone is to be executed, regardless of the appalling nature of their crime. But: in a country which allows for the death penalty for the most heinous crimes, it would be a travesty if these men were not sentenced to death.

I am slightly perturbed by some of the reports about confessions under duress for a couple of the defendants for whose involvement (and level of involvement) the evidence is less clear.

But that Nation its Normal.

and a Woman in india is
raped every 20mins (reported on BBC)

So the parents of that girl raped
want them Dead.

And I respect them.

DanaC 13-09-2013 06:39 PM

You emboldened the part about me being against the death penalty, and answered that. But I went on to say:

which actually agrees with what you said :p

bbfan1991 13-09-2013 06:43 PM

Hanging them is the easy way out for these evil people, they should have been made to suffer in prison for the rest of their lives.

Justice has been achieved for the victims families though, which is a bonus and a comfort to them, but it won't bring back their loved ones obviously.

I am in agreement with you. Too many innocent people have died at the hands of the state. For that reason I am against the death penalty.

GypsyGoth 13-09-2013 07:22 PM

Good riddance to them.

Ninastar 13-09-2013 08:34 PM

I always see things like this as views from the victims families. if this case happened to me, I'd wish them all dead. This isn't a loss of any sort. Good decision IMO.

I agree. If it was my sister I'd kill them myself. But you'd want to be bloody sure. But also, it should be the immediate familiy's choice.

MTVN 14-09-2013 12:21 AM

Actually this case gives a very good argument against the death penalty, because it seems like there are a lot of factors which suggest that the defendants are not 100% guilty (suggestions of torture used for confessions, one of the accused found suspiciously dead in their cell, all defendants protesting their innocence etc.)

BBfanUSA 14-09-2013 12:29 AM

In this case I'd think Life in prison (if india does offer that) would be better for these sickos. (If they did do it.)
