Argueably the biggest prick in the Grand Theft Auto franchise, Tommy was the first GTA protagonist who spoke, unlike his successors, he didn't really have a redeemable side to him, he was an out and out ****, who only looked out for himself.

Carl, despite being a criminal and gangsta, had a redeemable side to him, namely protecting his family and friends, which made Ryder and Big Smoke's betrayal much more shocking, also he knows how to swim, unlike that loser Vercetti.

Tommy was such an amazing character. C.J was great mostly due to the game itself I felt.
