Those moments you are just happy to be alive

Ever get those random moments that you just suddenly feel glad to be alive?

I have just been stood outside, it's a clear night with the moon out lighting what few clouds there are and so silent and it just made me feel really happy.

So... how long have you been having these mood swings ben?

Ninastar 14-09-2013 11:04 PM

making kids laugh hysterically...

when the parents tell you that their kids talk about you all the time at home...

beautiful scenery. (I went to this place called Brimham Rocks the other day and the views were just beautiful. You could see all of the yorkshire dales and a power station 40 miles away)

space/stars/the moon etc... like you mentioned ben, being able to see that on a clear night is just insane.

Ben, this happens to me so often.. I'm sometimes just walking home to my nice wee house from work and get this feeling of elation and happiness .. And gratitude!
It is actually a wonderful world.. And I have everything I could ask for. I know it sounds cheesy but I am honestly so grateful for what I have.

No, I absolutely understand. The world is such a beautiful place, it is so easy to forget that though with everything that goes on with our lives, it's nice to stop and take a moment to appreciate what the world always gives but we can often overlook.

I had pizza earlier, I understand

I've experienced that, it's an amazing feeling.

Got caught in torrential rain once, ran all the way home, soaked from head to toe, got home and felt so absolutely alive and felt so positive and happy.

Hahaha, I haven't bothered to pour another either. I took it as a sign to save the rest for another day.

Yeah.. There's badness and evil in our world.. But there's a LOT more beauty and goodness. Humans in general are good and our planet is beyond amazing.

Lee. 14-09-2013 11:20 PM

You wasted wine??

Shaun 14-09-2013 11:22 PM

oh look, all the outraged alcoholics are crawling across the floor in disdain

Yes. Please don't be angry. :(

I poured a large glass of red and the first thing I did was throw it down myself.

You're everything that's wrong with our beautiful world!!

Marsh. 14-09-2013 11:25 PM

I do feel very grateful for the life I have at the moment. I just watched JK Rowling's Harvard Commencement speech and it was brilliant, extremely wise and inspiring.
