Life at 30+

How is life at 30+ for those that are? Is it as bad as you expected, is there anything you would change, what is your next 'dreaded age'?

Get yourself to the solicitors and have a will made up.

Oh what a nice depressing start, lol.

For a serious answer, I suppose it depends. Are you settled in your life or are you a lost boy?

I was devastated! I hated turning 30 I cried and cried....
Funnily enough 40 was a breeze really. I really believe in the Saturn returns, every 7yrs we change and move into differing phases of our lives totally.
So the worries, dreams and desires are mostly totally different from the last.
I'm 42 next so moving into a new phase... I'm looking forward to it and feel more together as a person than I ever have.

I'm the most settled and the happiest I've ever been.. I have lots of fun, I have a fantastic partner, two gorgeous healthy kids, crazy friends, a nice home, and I'm healthy.. What's not to love??
I think I've kept a fairly young outlook too.. I make sure that I have a healthy balance between family life and a social life.
Are you 31 this year Ben?

:suspect: are you sure? I was positive you were already 30!

I am 30 next year. The nearer it gets though the less I am bothered, most people that age seem happy enough. I actually have found 26 - 28 the worst years and the ones I felt a little directionless with. Sure I had fun travelling and doing cool stuff but the general world/society seems to cater for under 25's and over 30's, it kind of feels that between the ages of 26 - 29 that the world forgets you exist and I found that a little hard to deal with.

Josy 15-09-2013 01:19 AM

No different to being 29

Jords 15-09-2013 01:39 AM

30s are the new 20s dont worry Ben
