Moist

The other day one of my work colleagues bought in a cake they had baked. It was delicious. In my description of how delicious I used the word 'moist'. Little did I know the problems I had just caused myself. I was then subjected to a series of lectures - by mainly women - on why I should never use that word, how that word is disgusting, it should be banned etc. I was taken aback.

What are your thoughts? What do you think of the word 'moist' and when did it become a taboo word?

Ramsay 26-09-2013 10:32 AM

Can remember this being in an episode of How I Met Your Mother

Marc 26-09-2013 10:36 AM

Love the word moist

GiRTh 26-09-2013 10:37 AM

Its definitely become a taboo word cuz some of the lectures were almost serious. :pipe:

Marc 26-09-2013 10:43 AM

Perhaps girls just hate the feeling of sitting with their sloshy meat pocket and don't want to be reminded of the feeling..

It's just a dirty sounding word I think  that pic Vicky posts of the old woman with it written underneath makes it even worse.

I did make an eurgh sound when I read the thread title but there is worse words.

Just clicked preview there and saw Marcs post, Marc your a dirty **** :bored:

Because it can imply moist vagina since the world is so sex mad at the moment with the ever increasing easy access to all sorts of porn. Women can think anybody using this is an innuendo or double entendre.

Also for women of today who enjoy power just as much as main the word moist which is associated with our vagina reminds us of that delicacy which we have which makes people still view us as the weaker sex and we hate to be reminded. Moist is an awful reminder.

I use the word pretty much every day. How else can I describe Novo?

Soggy it is.

Ithinkiloveyoutoo 26-09-2013 10:55 AM

It's like a foremely ginger kid with dark hair but someone constantly pointing and saying ginger ginger ginger ginger ginger and the ginger kid puts hands on ears like "NOOOO STOP IT!"

Cherie 26-09-2013 10:56 AM

What! It is a word associated with cakes though, you would hardly refer to a cake as being "wet". lol, how else would you describe a cake that is not dry..:conf:

Moist is used as a derogatory term nowadays, heard my sons friend referring to David Moyes as Moist, and it didn't sound like he was being complimentary.:joker:

So you are saying all women have moist vaginas but hide the fact and don't want reminded of it because it means we are the weaker sex etc?

I think you are over thinking things tbh, it's only a word.

Marc 26-09-2013 10:59 AM

Exactly, stop talking from your moist fanny and get over it..

Women that hate this word are mostly women that enjoy power. We can often lose control if we find ourselves attracted to someone and we get moist. Moist is a reminder of losing control. It's just ****ing annoying. :bawling:

Men should hate the word erect but they are weird. They are from mars.

Marc 26-09-2013 11:07 AM

It's how you take it.. some women would be floored by that compliment :idc:
