Omg I dunno what to do
 

I need a form of ID for something important but my passport/birth certificate are locked away in my mum's filing cabinet and she's gone abroad for a month :/

Is there anywhere I can request a copy of birth certificate or passport or something?

You can go to the Registry office and pay to get a copy of your Birth Certificate I think the copies are about a tenner though

How do I do that? Do I have to show any other ID to prove it's me

Ok everything's fine it turns out my mum gave my passport to my dad oops

Glad it's been sorted Salman! My mum's the same... she still won't give me my national insurance card in case I lose it... despite the fact I've never lost anything important in my life and I bloody need the thing every time I move city and register with a new doctor!
