EPISODE FOUR: PRISONERS DILEMMA

Contestants,

Before the next quiz you must complete this mission.

Like in seasons past, it has proved difficult to pass.

During this mission you will be paired up in 5 duos.

Each contestant in each duo must make an individual decision of either:

1. Passing up 5 Freebies or;
2. Taking 5 Freebies.

This means that there are 3 potential scenarios for each duo to achieve:

1. Both contestants passing up the Freebies, neither person gains Freebies.
2. One contestant taking the Freebies, while the other passes them up, only one person gains Freebies.
3. Both taking the Freebies, resulting in nobody getting it.

Now, in the five duos - only a maximum of two can achieve scenario 2 or 3.

That means at least 3 duos MUST achieve scenario 1 for this mission to be passed.

Unlike the past series' I have given The Mole the decision of picking the duos, therefore the following duo's are as follows:

Pair 1: Glenn & Cuda
Pair 2: Zee & Lee
Pair 3: Drew & Kate
Pair 4: Ben & Josiah
Pair 5: Tregard & Annie

I require everybodies individual decision via PM.

Good luck contestants.

Is conferring allowed?

Benjamin 06-10-2013 01:40 PM

I knew it. :(

Hmmmm.....

Benjamin 06-10-2013 01:41 PM

I'm confused though, is this still part of the same episode? Or is there a double execution?

Benjamin 06-10-2013 01:41 PM

Also, I know people will take the freebies, but we have a chance to get a win here, so I promise I won;t be taking them.

Tregard 06-10-2013 01:41 PM

Guys, if we do this correctly, we can each get one freebie.

T* 06-10-2013 01:42 PM

I don't really understand

Benjamin 06-10-2013 01:42 PM

You mean share them out?

Drew. 06-10-2013 01:42 PM

ah Kate, excellent

Benjamin 06-10-2013 01:43 PM

But then we may aswell all just pass them up, since if we all get one we are no better off lol.

same

Benjamin 06-10-2013 01:43 PM

I fully expect drew to be taking the freebies, and Glenn.

Yeah, take two people on different teams (E.g. You & Kate) and have them and them alone take the freebies. They distribute them amongst the players, everyone gets a freebie and we pass.

Benjamin 06-10-2013 01:44 PM

Basically if more than two people from ANY pair try go for the freebies, we fail.

interesting

Benjamin 06-10-2013 01:45 PM

Well, if more than two of us go for freebies we fail.

T* 06-10-2013 01:45 PM

Glenn, what do.

Drew. 06-10-2013 01:46 PM

BUT if we set it up like this, anyone who goes against the plan is clear, they know we'll fail if they try to take the freebies, whereas if we say "nobody is going for them", then they can claim they didn't know we'd fail ;)

Benjamin 06-10-2013 01:46 PM

Look, I know I messed up the last task, but this is an easy win here if we are sensible.

T* 06-10-2013 01:47 PM

can I has freebies?

Marc 06-10-2013 01:47 PM

Conferring is allowed, however your individual decisions must be sent to me privately (PM)

This is the same episode, not a double termination
