Dreams
Your subconscious trying to help you in your waking life with cryptic messages and symbols or a random arrangement of what's on your mind in a meaningless order? What do you think - meanings or irrelevant?
|
By my calculations, dreams are some type of ads from the future http://i.imgur.com/gKtJhbT.gif
|
Its just random thoughts from things you do and see every day imo.

I had a really odd one I was dressed like an 80's dancer in legwarmers dancing around a shopping centre, then an ex came and asked me to go on holiday and I said yes but boarded a different coach.
We got to a massive mansion, I couldn't stop dancing... this old couple were helping me find him, I was crying I said sorry for running away but I didn't mean it so he walked away. Actually, I sort of get it  |

What Josy said basically, often I can trace the reason I've had a dream back to something that happened the previous day, like something you saw or a conversation you had and it fell into your subconscious and was used to form a dream, it's just strange how when those moments happen during the day you'd never think you'd end up dreaming about them.
An example would be I once had a dream about going on a random car journey in the middle of the night with my cousin I think it was, and in the dream I had a vivid image in my head of the speedometer, and then once I woke up I remembered the previous day I'd been in the car with my dad and had glanced at it and it obviously stayed with me, and I think I'd thought about texting my cousin to arrange something, so obviously the dream formed out of that. Strange though  |
saying as I have the most ridic dreams ever I don't know what they mean, I actually keep a blog of my dreams as they are so odd. I had one a while back and it was a like a bloody tv prog il find it and post it on here.

here it is it was a little while ago now:
ok here goes last nights dream. first there was 2 gay guys in a multi storey carpark where i think they had gone for rumpy pumpy anyway one started bashing the other one over the head, until he saw someone watching him, all u cud see was the eyes, so the attacker ran away, the victim then got up and staggered towards the way out, someone was shouting to him run, run (i dont know if it was the attacker or the eyes) the victim was shouting help, help he was about 50yds or so away from the exit and a man was on his way out, but he totally ignored the victims cries for help. then i realised he had headphones on so cudnt hear him. The victim covered in blood by this time managed to stagger to the door just as a group of tennis players passed. 2 men and 2 woman dressed in tennis gear, they were about 15yds past the entrance when the victim staggered out still shouting for help. Only they never heard him becoz they were too busy laffing and joking on about one of the woman wanting a sausage roll. The victim then collapsed then a few people appeared to help. then wud u flippin believe this.... I WOKE UP!!!!!! ARGHHHH try as i might to get back to the bloody dream to find out wot happened. ie did the victim live or die? why was he attacked? who was the attacker? whose were the eyes? did the tennis player get her sausage roll. I could not get back to sleep. gutted lol |
You make a very interesting analysis, Jack_
I recall having some absolute nightmares but they could easily be traced from earlier conversations and actions, culminating in a horrific mix during R.E.M.. I also notice it's best to stay clear of alcohol to avoid those sort of dreams. |
I don't think it's meaningless, i think it's from your subconsciousness, i don't think you can like predict the future from them or anything though, but i think they do involve things from your real life and if you are bothered by something, your dreams will reflect you being stressed about something.
i dunno if i'm making sense. I don't think it's mystical or anything, but i do think some of the things in dreams will play on what you are stressed by in your real life. I think it's when your mind can go wild, and not be censored by the normal things in life. I think your dreams are both what you fear most and what you want most in real life. It's a combination of both. |
I actually like having the weird dreams, so long as there not nitemares. I had one of them the other week where my cheek was crumbling away from my face and u could see right into my mouth, my teeth, gums the lot and a crumbling cheek. it was horrible.

Dreams are the one area where I am open-minded and open to weird supernatural theories about them  I've had way too many occasions of deja vu and really specific instances of it - I'm not saying we're predetermined or even clairvoyant, just find it really spooky sometimes how accurate dreams can go on to be.
|
I hate nightmares, especially when I half wake up and can feel my body in the bed but can't move. Scares the life out of me thinking I'm paralysed.

Agree with lostalex and Jack
Not long ago I dreamt that Beyonce was in a plane accident which is obviously my worse fear ever but I think it was the day when I was researching information about Aaliyah's death so I see what happened. But my gosh that was the worst dream ever because I actually seen the plane blow up :bawling: |

Hasn't happened for a while now so hope I don't get it because we were discussing it  |
I have horrible dreams sometimes. The worst ones are when I feel I have stuff crawling on me like spiders and stuff. On holiday once I had a dream I had a swarm of bees in my sheets and I ran out of the room screaming bloody murder and then woke up in the living room of the caravan in my pants.
