Anybody got white fillings?
 

How long have you had them?
Were you told by your dentist whether they last longer or less than silver? And what about their quality vs silver ones?

I've had a couple and had no problems with them, I thought they were the standard now and they don't really do the silver ones that much anymore

Good to hear you've had no problems. On google I keep reading silver are better and safer.

No I was just wondering about the safety and longevity of both.

I've got two black ones. Lasted 12 years.

..they often don't choose to put white fillings in because they're more expensive than silver ones but my dentist told me they were equally as good/long lasting as silver ones..I haven't read up on google anything though because that was a long time ago and I've had no problems with it..they look much better...

Got mine when I was still getting free dental care which is probably why they didn't give me a choice, just used white ones

No but I've been wearing braces for three years this month :/ and no signs of taking them off, I actually have an appointment next week to get them on my bottom teeth too

3 years wow. Are you teeth not as straight as you want them yet?
