Odd Little Habits...

Do you have any odd/weird/funny little habits?

I play with clothes tags all the time, I always have done, never grown out of it

My nephew used to do this and my sister used to have to cut all the labels from his clothes

King Gizzard 24-10-2013 02:07 PM

Imagine how awkward it would be if you got the urge to play with random peoples labels

I am a tiny bit OCD about symmetry, the worst thing is my Christmas Tree it takes me hours to get that sitting as even as possible and I get really irritated when my OH or someone in my family says 'that looks alright' when I know it's not sitting even.

The most recent thing was my mother in laws new cooker hood and hob, they aren't in the centre of the wall/work top they are on (because of the window placement) and every time I am in her kitchen it really annoys me.

I'm not even slightly OCD  Gav is though, he always has to have his shoes lined up a certain way and the laces straightened out, sometimes I like to mess them up when he's not looking :idc:

Omg

Ah that's another one for me actually, I always check inside my shoes/trainers before putting them on in case theres a spider in there.

Oh I do that too not because I have OCD but because I'm terrified of spiders

Whenever I close the fridge or freezer I always push it a couple more times afterwards to make sure it's closed

All my hangers have to be of the same type and colour and if I don't have any left and can't find them in shops, I'll give them to my mum or sister and buy new ones (for my new clothes and old clothes too).

It is, but it's already shut and i will still be pushing it to make sure, I don't know if its OCD or a habit.. I do the same with taps, I always turn them even when they are off just to make sure they are off

King Gizzard 24-10-2013 02:36 PM

Poor Drew

If I turn around in a circle, I have to turn back and go the other way again. I'd say that's definitely an element of OCD.

And when I'm in the kitchen, I have to align the hand wash, Fairy liquid etc so they're straight with the lids closed.

I keep sniffling and I don't know why...
Also when I turn my PC off, I turn it off and then it's plug off, and then press the power button to double check.

Natalie. 24-10-2013 03:13 PM

I check things are still in my room even though I already know they are, like a book or cd or phone

lostalex 24-10-2013 05:37 PM

when i'm at the computer, i usually wear gym shorts, and i play with the draw string with my left hand. Ive actually had to put a bandaid around my finger tips because i was rubbing off the skin from playing with the draw string too much and it was creating a callus.

Z 24-10-2013 05:42 PM

I like to play with corners of things. Pages of books, paper pads, pillow cases... they have to be 'sharp', I get a sense of enjoyment out of it, can't explain it.
