That's what I thought too. Old, young and people that work with these groups. I quite like getting flu once every 4/5 years. It's a horrible illness that wipes you out (not to be confused with a cold that most people claim is flu) for a few days, but I like the getting better part.

We say Jag instead of jab.

And yeah I used to think only old people, people with asthma and kids got it but no everyone can if they want..

Kizzy 02-11-2013 01:43 PM

Asthmatics get it too.

smudgie 02-11-2013 02:42 PM

I do, had the pneumonia one a few years back as well.
Get mine from the Doctor, but you can buy them in the supermarket.
No idea if you jab yourself mind.

King Gizzard 02-11-2013 02:43 PM

jag? Are you high josy

fingers 02-11-2013 02:47 PM

Absolutely nothing wrong with the word "jag", thistles have jaggy leaves, as you'd soon find out if you grab one!!

mizzy25 02-11-2013 04:18 PM

I had it once when I went for my blood taken due to some tablets I was on. The nurse said have u ate eggs today? I said no coz I hadn't, then she said great we can give u the flu jab and stuck it in my arm lol

AnnieK 02-11-2013 05:17 PM

My son has just had the kids one that they have started offering to 2 & 3 year olds. It's not a jab though, it's a nasal spray.

Why is such a big deal because we say some stuff different?

Different areas have different words for some things, build a bloody bridge and get over it :idc:
