The Adventure Game
Whilst flicking through TV channels on Saturday night, I found an old episode of "The Adventure Game" on Challenge TV! It made my Christmas!!
Now nobody else I have talked to so far apart from my dad can remember this program. It involved contestants solving puzzles on the planet Arg and included things like an aspidistra, a man who talked backwards all the time (doogyrev) and the amazing Vortex where you had to try and cross from one side of a grid to another without getting caught by an invisible helix thing. The episode I saw was made in 1985 and it featured a state of the art (for the time!) computer maze game as well which I think was played on a BBC Basic. So does anyone else remember this program and would care to reminisce with me???? :xyxwave: |
Oh the memories!!!!!
:hello::hello::hello::hello::hello::hello: That was probably the best show on TV at the time, I loved it. Kaphc, do you remember "Richard Of York Gave Battle In Vain"? The whole show was fabulous, so much more enjoyable than stuff that's on nowadays!!!!! |
I remeber it I think. Did it have a grumbling aspidistra, or is that the Crystal maze?

It did and I remember it and saw it as well, they were using an old bbc micro to solve the password.:thumbs:

I saw it too, Kaphc.
Our whole family loved "The Adventure Game" and looked forward to it every week. Another one we all loved was "Knightmare". Does anyone remember this one? :wavey: |
