have i upset my mate?
 

Just curious to see what you lot say, ok last Friday I was meant to be having a night out with the girls, there was about 8 of us going out. Now when i got up I didnt feel 100% bad head and I think ive got tinnitus (but dont know yet) anyway I text my friend who had arranged the night out to say i wasnt too good, but then i started going on about wot we were wearing etc thinking id pull myself together, anyway had to drop a birthday card off @ my sisters about 5 miles away so obviosly i drove, anyway on the way back I went all weird in the car, hot dizzy and feeling sick, by the time I got home I was really ill. My partner made me something to eat but I took one mouthful and couldnt eat it. I was supposed to be @ work but rang in sick and went to bed. I text my mate who had arranged the night out to say sorry but I wouldnt be out as I was ill and said for them to have a good time, remember there was a few of them. Anyway I text my best mate to say I wouldnt be out and she text back neither was she as she too was ill with the runs and sickness. So me and the mate who arranged the night out normally text @ least a few times a day, so of course in the morning I text to ask if they had a good night, I got nothing back so I text again all I got back was yes ok thanks, which in itself is odd. I then text where did they go? nowt back. So i text anther friend who I thought was out to see if she had had a good night but she too hadnt gone out as she was too tired, so 3 of us cancelled but there was still about 5 of them went out. Anyway since Fri Ive text quite a few times to the one who arranged it who normally texts me a few times a day and ive hardly got any answers back off her the ones i have got are very brief. So last night I asked if I had upset her as very short texts off her? She answered after a while and just said no Im just busy. Today Ive text and heard nothing back @ all. Sorry this is a long post but just want to see what everyone thinks? cheerz.

I'd say she's acting pissy because she probably feels let down.

Let her have a strop and she'll come round in a few days :D

I wouldn't worry Mizzy, sounds like she may be a little miffed as she put the effort into organising it, you can't help not feeling well, just one of those things. If you really think she is being off, you could re-organise the night out to make up for not being able to go, though in reality I think this one will blow over in a week or so.

Doesn't sound very much like a "best friend" to me. More like a schoolgirl in a huff!

Edit: If it were me, I wouldn't send any more texts just wait for HER reaction to that!

Well I was thinking of not texting her for a few days and see if she texts me. Its not as if there was only us 2 out there was quite a few. Like you say I cant help not feeling well can I? Its just bugging me as we text quite a lot and Ive asked her if theres a problem as I would rather know if ive upset someone like.

It wasn't your fault, mizzy. I think wait a while. Hopefully it will blow over. :hug:

It's probably because she expected whole group to go and was looking forward to it and got let down 3 times (not you fault though) Don't know why she's still mad though really, not as if it could have been helped. Give it a few days, balls in her court

..maybe it's nothing and she is just busy or preoccupied with something and you're just feeling that it's with you ..but even if she is annoyed with you, you were ill and she's your friend so I'm sure she'll just have a sulk for a few days and then be perfectly fine, it's just what some people do, isn't it..but I would try not to worry about it because I doubt that she'll stay like this for very long....I would just text her as usual and as if everything's ok because as far as you're concerned, it is...

she has got her nose out of joint and took it to heart, don't waste your time texting her anymore, after all she is not a teenager and needs to get a grip.

have already text her today and got nothing back so i dont think I will text anymore. I dont really see the point when im not getting any text back or just one word texts back, thanks guys. yr right sherriff we are not teenagers we are in our 40s. lol

Yes of course, but Mizzy should rise above it, if both parties get sulky it could drag on, best to ignore it and it will blow over, at least then one person is acting like an adult!

So hardly any text lst few days, yesterday she didnt answer my text, this morning I get a text as normal so ive left it about 10 mins and Il answer now and be the bigger person. I could be petty and not answer but I wont. Thanks for your answers everyone. x

Well shes text me quite a few times this morning as normal as if nothing has happened so it looks like wotever it was with her, she seems to be over it, thank god. I hate feeling as if ive done something x

Well Im glad it has wotever is was vanessa lol weve not fallen out in the 20 odd years ive known her, we bicker all the time but never a major fall out.
