I see someone that does loads for charity..without shouting her mouth off about it.

I think what's she's suggesting is that a debate is started. If horses were used for meat, there would be better controls on their welfare.

One does not eat animals who have com to the end of their natural, normally. They are either old or sick. One may eat horses who have no practicable use, but that's altogether different.

Oh what, like sheep, pigs, cattle? None of them enjoy good welfare. They are treated like a crop.

Yes, and one normally sends them to the glu factory when one has decided they are past their best.

Have you any idea what happens to them in the abatoir? I have, from a sadistic bastard who worked in one. A horrible person of my aquainance years ago, who boased to me of torturing animals before they were killed. And who stopped him? Noone. Who was wathing him? Noone. Who cared? Noone.
