Richer Sounds business to be bequeathed to employees

cent of the shares in the business
he started in 1978, has written
the plan into his will, to be enacted
on his death, he said.]

chain of 52 shops, 46 of which
are owned personally by Mr Richer.
Only his Belfast store is run as a franchise.
For the past two decades, the
company’s London Bridge store
has held the Guinness World Record
for most sales per square foot of
any retail outlet. The business has
been held up as a model for customer
service and staff engagement in retail.]
