does it annoy you when...
people say stuff like 'ngl' when it's not needed. like on twitter/facebook i'll see something like
"i'm really cold today, ngl" ngl means not gonna lie if you didn't know  i don't know why it just seems really irrelevant and everyone adds it these days and i don't get it and it annoys me. ALSO when people say 'cannae' when they're not scottish/geordie where ever that word is from. i just see people from where i live say it when we don't use it and it sounds so out of place and it annoys me :bawling: Might just be me, but what about you? |
ngl - it really annoys me, too.
|
Yes to the first part.
People saying Cannae doesn't annoy me but then I'm Scottish and I hear/see it ever day, it means 'can't' here though not sure it means that elsewhere... |
No I always say not gonna lie pretty much after every statement I make

I don't mind people using acronyms per se, but there are so many that people use now that I have to sit for a second and try and figure it out because they're unfamiliar to me. TBH is to be honest, but then I see stuff like LBR or NGL and I have to think about it for a moment... and I never remember what SMH or KMT mean and I've asked so many times and I never remember the answers

They're a ludicrous use of TextSpeak.
|
Took me a good while to realise what tldr meant
|
Let's hope "cannae" is not being confused with "canny"
|
Just seen this on twitter
"Woke up from the best sleep of my life ngl" ...why would you lie? |
I am totally oblivious of it all, I honestly thought ngl was short for niggle.
No wonder I could make no sense of it:joker: |
lbh ngl is qt tbh
|
All 'text speak' even in a text message, annoys me. It should not be tolerated on a forum.
