I think some get grumpy but it's really just a mask because they maybe feel sad or lonely at that time of year?
Either that or they as just miserable in general  |

I find Xmas day a bit sad actually because me and my family are all grown up, I'd love a little child in the house on Xmas day! I think it's much nicer when there is. |
How can anybody not like Christmas

..I was thinking the other day about how difficult it must be for people who are extremely sad/lonely etc, especially with all the Christmas ads/movies and how a lot of them depict families and being with people...I guess that's why the suicide rate is quite high at what a lot of people think of as the 'happiest time of the year'....

Yep being labelled a scrooge or grinch for not putting decs up is mean too, for some christmas is just a time for quiet reflection.
I said last year I was going to do some volunteering, but I'm not well enough :( |

Im prob classed as miserable, the thing that gets me is that it is only 1 day well say maybe 3 if u include xmas eve, xmas day and boxing day, but no not these days, it starts before bloody Halloween then people seem to have to get their decs up by the 1st dec (not me mine go up 12 days before) The shops are like the end of the world is nigh, the shelves in asda are empty and the staff cant get them filled up for the hoards of shoppers, Then theres the bloody cards I always buy special cards for family and good friends then a few box sets, £20 spent just on cards alone the other day, then theres the wrapping paper. Mind I wojt be happy unless the wizard of oz is on sometime over xmas which I will watch whilst having a snowball with a cherry. But no I think its a waste of time and no im not sad or lonely lol

it should be a time of thinking of others and being a bit nicer to people. but funny enough i always notice on the run up to xmas people seem a lot ruder and stressed , road rage galore and housewives fighting over the last turkey in tescos lol |

I love a bit of Xmas spirit.. And in not talking about Baileys!
I find Xmas a very special time and I love every minute of it, from around now until the 1st if January.. Then winter can do one tbh! |

..:amazed:...they can take my freedom, Smeagal...but they can't take my turkey... ..(I actually don't have turkey and I buy meat from a farm anyway..which is just as well with those evil housewives..)... |

The time of year has absolutely no bearing whatsoever on how I treat people. Despite the impression many may have of me on here, I would give you the shirt off my back whether it be July or Mid December.
As a single man, I also can't stand people who when they ask you 'so what are you doing Christmas?' and I reply not a lot watching TV, drinking and eating, they look at you with sad eyes and go awwww. I'm single through choice I like and want to be by myself People annoy me Jog on |
