online courses

Im very very bored just now. In the summer Im fine as Im away racing most weekends, but in the winter its just locally and it takes only an hour out of my day in the mornings. I have 7 dogs soon to be 8 when one has pups. But for those boring times I was thinking of doing some kind of online course, preferable free or @ least quite cheap lol one u can do @ your own pace.
So has anyone ever done an online course? Anyone got any suggestions? I don't actually mind what in just something to stimulate the brain.

lots of things I guess, racing being my main hobby, I write factual for a whippet magazine, I love the soaps an reality tv, I also love the robson green prog about the history of Northumberland so history maybe, or English, I would love to be some kind of journalist or write for a soap. I love to write a book but I don't think Id be able too. Im starting to get into keeping fit as well. I just need some stimulation, also wondered if anyone had done an online course?

Great idea but I don't know how you'll fit it in with working and all those pets :)
How about learning a language, you can do that at your own pace, there's lots of free language apps?

..no, I've never done an online course myself, Mizzy...here's a link to a writing one, I don't know whether it'll be what you're looking for or not...

..the only other thing is if you enjoy things like histories of places, especially places you're familiar with...have you ever traced or thought of tracing your ancestry..?...

yeah I guess you are kind of right there, one of dogs is pregnant but shes not having the pups here, shes having them @ our greyhound trainers kennels. So even though Il have pups they wont be @ my house, until of course I get mine prob abouit 6 weeks old, one of my old dogs is not too good and he will prob b unfortunalty be going soon, gutted but it will have to be done, when I feel the time is right and its not just yet, anyway back to being busy, once the dogs have been walked and fed their quite happy to sleep, I only work part time and sometimes I just get very very bored, mopst of the time tbh lol but languages Im not sure I mean how would I even know if Im saying it right? lol

Thanks for the link ammi looks interesting. As for ancestory do you mean like family tree? My brother in law did his and his surname is smith lol but my surname is Scottish (craigie) so apparently is much harder to trace and as I haven't got much patience its prob not right for me lol

...ahh, ok..yeah I did mean that..the family tree...but Smith isn't the best name for a starting point, I agree...I know you like writing, Mizzy and I've read your poems, which are good..so later when I have time, I'll look for some links to online creative writing courses...if I forget then just kick me, ok....
