He is gaff prone, still unsure about his presenting ability. Caroline had more chemistry with Olly? Will he return?

I think he's so irritating...he has to make a joke about everything...and the jokes aren't funny at all, sigh.

This is the problem, he makes light on everything, even when there really isn't a joke just for the sake of trying to squeeze a joke in irregardless of whether it's funny.

He's annoying, good thing I don't watch the Xtra Factor anymore. #BringBackKonnie

I miss Caroline and Olly so much *sobs* I'm not Olly will ever come back but hopefully they'll get rid of Matt and just keep Caroline.

It was funny actually, cos I was watching Olly on Xtra this weekend for the millionth time and when he says that Matt has been doing a good job, Caroline pats Matt on the shoulders and goes 'filling in'. And Olly is forever going on about how much he misses the show(i.e. Caroline) so maybe he will come back, who knows.

Anyway yeah Matt is annoying and not funny and he's been mean to both Olly fans(plus he has such a complex about not being Olly, he can't take a joke) and Take That fans so he can feck off.

There's nothing wrong with Matt, he seems like a nice guy and occasionally makes me laugh, but I think he tries to hard...but then he's a comedian, not a TV presenter, so I can understand why he would. He wants to impress but it's coming off as too forceful.

If he cut it back a bit then in all honesty he's not that bad a presenter, he can read the autocue and carry the links okay, he's no Konnie :laugh: also I think the way they've structured the show this year isn't working either, the set looks completely bare with only one set of sofas and the screen isn't necessary, there isn't enough running jokes for my liking either. Although I am glad they've brought the newsflashes back

But yeah, having Olly back at the weekend made me miss him more, I'm so glad they got him to do some 'that's rightttt' again :D I hope he comes back next year, he and Caroline were the best hosts this show has had

Don't get me wrong, I loved her for all the wrong reasons much like everyone else whilst she was on the show, but Olly and Caroline are still the best hosts :laugh:

I really liked konnie, yes she made more gaffes than matt, lacked empathy.

However I liked the fact she was a bit snooty, and her intelligence did come through, and more importantly she was a woman of colour doing an entertainment show (do itv know British black and Asian people exist?) and not another yawn -worthy identikat blond female presenter eg flack, zoe ball, whitemore, willoughby, cotton, the bint who does strictly.

I can't ****ing stand Olly, so I have no time for the -bring back olly brigade-

I agree with the running jokes thing. Though I hate them doing newflashes, I hate that they're doing anything Caroline and Olly used to.

But yeah when Caroline and Olly did it they had enough things like the newsflashes and the epiphanies and Olly falling over and the inneundo and 'what the' and 'that's righttttt' that they made it their show, where as with Matt it doesn't have anything distinct enough to have us tuning it for things besides seeing the contestants and such which just isn't enough.

I get the impression Louis doesn't like him and Caroline cringes when he gaffes eg caling Luke's gran Sam's gran.

Poor guy

The Xtra Factor is a huge gig and maybe too big for a newbie like Matt. Having said that the worst Xtra Factor host is Ben Shepard followed bu Fearne Cotton.

I think he's ok. He makes me laugh. Not as good as Olly though. :hugesmile:

I quite like Matt,he brings some humour to the xtra factor at least.

He's funny, but Carline gets on my nerves sometimes.
