I used to just have a mini one like the pic below but I gave it to my brother when I moved, don't really know anything about hifi's tbh.

..does it have to be a hi-fi, Jake..?..you could have a sound system on your TV and play cds/music on that...?....

I've got a Bose SoundTouch. I'd recommend it to anyone, the sound is just amazing.

..I have a friend who has a Bose and she loves it as well...it would be a good one, Jake..I don't know how expensive they are though...
