How much do you save each month?

Do any of you save/put aside money each month?

I try very hard but I suck at it :-( I opened a new bank account recently and set up a standing order for each month, I dont have any details for it so I can't access it which is good for me! Lol and I dont really notice the money going cause it just goes automatically.

Hmmmm, we are at the age where we are trying to put a little away each month.
The mortgage was paid off last December, we just carry on paying it into the building society we never had it to spend so we don't miss it.

That's such a good idea! One day when I actually have had a mortgage and paid it off I shall do that lol.

I'm going to my bank to put like £100 a month in another account for my pension. I'm good at saving anyway, but id like to have money saved that I cant touch unless its for emergencies.

We actually don't spend that much money each month because we don't go out like for nights out or that every week since neither of us drink it would be a bit boring and pointless we do go out for meals and days out though.

So we always have a good amount of money left each month and it all just stays in the bank and builds up.

Other than that we have a separate savings account for emergencies and that and we normally put maybe about £30/£50 a week into that, I dip into it a lot when I want to do some shopping though

No i don't save, money is there to be spent, i don't want to be the richest man in the graveyard.

My only real focus is to pay my mortgage off, so every spare penny goes towards that aim. As soon as that's done in a few years, then it doesn't matter what I do as I'll always have somewhere to live/something to earn money from.
