Missing CIA operative failed by US government, family says
http://static.guim.co.uk/sys-images/...vinson-010.jpg
I would assume the President will not get him back as it means they fully admit to CIA spys working in Iran. http://www.theguardian.com/world/201...on-iran-family [In the fallout from the botched mission, the CIA undertook a reappraisal of the rules governing the running of agents. Ten people were disciplined and three analysts were dismissed. The CIA also eventually accepted that it was responsible for Levinson in Iran, and the government paid $2.5m to his family, reports said. He has a wife and seven children.] [It is not known whether Levinson, 65, is still alive. He was last heard of about three years ago when the family received a video of him and pictures of him dressed in a Guantánamo-style orange jump suit. In the video he pleaded for help, saying “Please help me get home. Thirty-three years of service to the United States deserves something.”] A mess |
Neither of the signs that he is holding were composed by someone whose first language is English.

For Sure |
I'd imagine it's very common for spies to be abandoned by their governments if they get caught

Not once they have proof. They could do a Trade. |
I'd be astonished if the CIA weren't in Iran. People who work in jobs like that are aware of the consequences of being caught, and that the chance of rescue or a trade are remote at best.
