Jim Davidson set for Celeb BB after sex case axe

Comedian Jim Davidson has apparently been given the all-clear to take part in Celebrity Big Brother 2014 after the last of the sex abuse investigations he was facing was dropped.

The 60-year-old was originally set to become a housemate in the eleventh series of the Channel 5 reality show last January.

However, he was replaced at the eleventh hour by Neil ‘Razor’ Ruddock after he was arrested on suspicion of historical sexual offences as part of the Operation Yewtree sting.

The case was later axed in August, and he was reportedly made a last-minute offer for the twelfth series – which he turned down as he still faced one charge in the Falkland Islands.

But it was confirmed by the Falklands’ attorney general Mark Lewis yesterday that Davidson will face “no further action” after the evidence against him was reviewed.

His solictor Henri Brandman stated: “My client Jim Davidson is delighted to have received news today that there will be no further action relating to an allegation of an historic sexual nature in the Falkland Islands.”

According to The Daily Star, the news ‘paves the way’ once more for the former Generation Game and Big Break host to take part in Celebrity Big Brother, which returns next month.

A source said to be ‘close’ to Jim told the paper: “He was very keen on becoming a housemate the first time round so he’s pleased that he can now look forward to that opportunity.”

Other names rumoured to be taking part include The Only Way Is Essex star Sam Faiers, Blue singer Lee Ryan, N-Dubz rapper Dappy and media personality Nancy Dell’Olio.

Earlier this week C5 released pictures of the new-look Big Brother house, which has been made over with a ‘palace’ theme for the latest run.

No, actually arista, it's more because of the way he proposed to my aunt after knowing her for about a week, and then, when she rejected him, proceeded to intimidate and stalk her for months afterward.

But whatever, reduce it to "oh Shaun's an offended gay".

I posted it to highlight his racist impression of a black man who he says has "spears on the roof rack", not because his "comedy" has a social conscience by attacking the police.

Can not stand him.
With a bit of luck his head will go so far up his own backside he will suffocate.
