30,000 Police Officers protest cuts.

Anyone else see the coverage of the police protesting past parliament against the cuts and privatisation yesterday? ( the only action they can legally take)... No, me either.

I haven't seen any news footage on that at all Kizzy,I would have thought that would have been top news.

It makes me sick, there is a block on any media reporting on anything that shows this government in a bad light. No front line services are exempt from massive cuts to funding and staffing levels, then there are reports that some areas such as NHS waiting times are too long!
All to damage public confidence and accelerate privatisation. The police in exchange for the proposed removal of crown servant protection want the right to unionise.
Do we want further privatisation which would damage the professionalism of the police?
Looking at recent scandals involving SERCO and G4S I say no.

This Coalition is pathetic, I wish we could get another party to show up and take these three corrupt parties down.

But sadly everyone just votes for who their parents vote for, it's quite shameful really to not give any of the other parties a chance.

And now look at what's happening to The Police.

I do agree the choice we have at the next election is a weak one, however I have made my choice that this Govt needs to go and I hope it is clearly voted out too.

It saddens me because my family were near all supporters of the Conservatives,I broke ranks in 2010 when I foolishly trusted the Lib Dems. Never again will I though and it is a view across my family that they also think this Govt has gone way too far and deserves to lose the next election.

When you have the Police, at odds with a Conservative govt then that itself demonstrates how bad this Govt is in part.
It had very hard decisions to make,I accept that, however it made the wrong ones in my view and hurt the people who should have been protected not attacked and discriminated against.
It stands up for the powerful and rich while bringing down even more than they already are the weakest, poorest and most vulnerable.

That is why I have parted company with this Govt and although I accept the Police make mistakes at times, I believe they have a just grievance with this Govt.
It really doesn't surprise me at all that we heard little of the Police protests, the answer is though we most certainly should have.
