If you were offered immortality....

...would you take it?

If you were offered the chance to live forever at any stage of your life (for any OAP's on here that want to be their sexy younger selves) would you do it? Do you think you could handle a continuous existence far beyond that of everybody you knew? Would you look at it as a chance to see the future?

I'd like to be my younger self again, say around 25/26 and freeze frame at that age, I was skinny then lol.

Nah

I want to live to be 104 years old so that I get to see the year 3000... after that I can go out happy. :p

 you'll need to be a bit older than 104 to see the year 3000, at 104 you will see 2100

Ninastar 28-12-2013 11:00 AM

I think immortality would get boring after a while and without the ability to die it would probably be gruesome living watching people you love come and go and come and go while you continue your existence.

I wouldn't accept it myself. I think death, although terrible and sad, is necessary for our psyche.

I wouldn't. Like I explained in my last post I think like everything it would just get boring eventually and also the repetitive generations that come and pass would wear me down. I think it would be terrible myself.

smudgie 28-12-2013 11:39 AM

No, not for me.
However it would be lovely if we had the option to turn the clock back for one decade in our lifetime.

Depends, would it be liked being a vampire where if I got bored after a thousand years I could just stake myself or something?

God Vicky why do you have to make things so complicated!

Yes you are allowed to commit suicide but you can't die of natural causes or watching sh*t comedies like Miranda like most people.

Vicky. 28-12-2013 12:14 PM

Yes I would do it then :D

Kyle 28-12-2013 12:19 PM

You don't get to be a vampire though...y'know just in case everybody decides to change their minds and be immortal you can't be a vampire ok.....no Robert Pattinson, no drinking the blood of the twat that bumped into your car last week....no gothic bisexual vampire concubines for you to breed with...just saying.

armand.kay 28-12-2013 12:24 PM

yes I would take it.

Ithinkiloveyoutoo 28-12-2013 12:29 PM

If humans all behaved and cherished the planet then we would all gladly accept immortality.

But wouldn't you get bored eventually? Like say 3 or 4 hundred years down the line.

I'd call it a day after about 50 probably
