He saved Liz from despair

BABYFACED Glyn helped his childhood sweetheart recover from manic depression, she has revealed.

His first love, Elizabeth Jones - Roberts, 18, said the part-time lifeguard was her "knight in shining armour" during her two years of hospital hell.

And because he is in the Big Brother house, he has no idea that she has now left hospital and is fully recovered.

Glyn, also 18, has known Elizabeth since they were four. They grew up in the mining village of Blaenau Ffestiniog, Gwynedd.

They have been a couple, on and off, since their first kiss at the age of 10. But she later suffered a string of health problems and was eventually treated for manic depression.

Elizabeth said: "When I was very ill, Glyn came through the rain and the hail to see me. It was like I was a lost princess and he came to make my dreams come true.

"He wrote letters the whole time I was in hospital. He told me he missed my smile and called me his angel.

"I was very ill for a while. I would not have got through it all if it had not been for his love and care.

"On one of his last visits he told me about Big Brother, but said he didn't think he'd get picked."

Elizabeth said Glyn's frolics with older woman Lea meant nothing but when he schmoozed other BB ladies, she was shocked.

She added: "He used to tell me that he was a lonely guy but that I made his world. He had a few other girlfriends after me but nothing serious. He always said I was his one true love.

"It will be amazing to see him again and thank him for all he's done."

It's a ncie story, and Glyn is a nice guy, but he can't win, surely not.

He stands a chance. He's been the most entertaining and he's got a heart of gold. He'd be a worthy winner. :thumbs:
