The thing I'm really enjoying about this series so far

...is the social issues it is highlighting and the more important debates that it is sparking. Sure, I'm sure we all know now that I love the drama when it comes to this show but it is nice having been able to have discussions about Jasmine's profound sex talk, Evander's views and in tonight's show being able to listen to the debates some of the housemates were having about humans and animals, the Bible and nuclear weapons. It's actually those kind of discussions that I used to love listening to on the live feed the most believe it or not, hearing what opinions and views the housemates hold.

If anything I think this series so far has gone somewhat into proving that to an extent Big Brother still is a social experiment. Stick a load of people in a house with conflicting views and backgrounds and you're bound to spark some thought-provoking discussions which will raise the issues outside the house too, which is exactly why I'm glad they broadcast Evander's comments because it will seek only to challenge such views and eventually see them eradicated.

I am also strangely enjoying the frank discussions and displays of sex and sexuality actually, because this is after all a reality show and such things are discussed and happen in real life. Has a celebrity series of BB ever been this...well...horny? You'd think this was a civilian series because they're all acting like they don't have reputations or media careers to think about  it's quite refreshing in a way, we haven't had something like this since what, BB6? It's finally returning to well an adult television show, which has sadly in recent years been dumbed down and become some CBBC copy of its former self. Things seem to be slightly picking up with the events and discussions that have taken place thus far.

This is a really promising start and if this continues I honestly think this has the potential to turn into one of the best CBB's there's been, looks like the casting team have really picked a good bunch this time. Here's just hoping it continues...

I agree with you 100% Jack, I just hope that the public have got their act in gear and don't vote out all the entertaining Housemates.

Jack, you are without a doubt my favourite forum member. Your posts are always so interesting, most of the time dead on the nose and discussion worthy. :worship:
It's strange - but this actually feels like the most real series of CBB we've had in years - and the fact that they all actually seem to want to be there is so refreshing after the god awful series we had after Secrets and Lies. Each episode has left us with a range of topics to discuss, controversial or otherwise. Plus there's something for everyone - the deep discussions, the silliness, the hilarity and the different characters that create these situations. So far, an excellent series and it if continues being this interesting to watch, it may well end up being my favourite CBB ever.

Someone entertaining WILL go thanks to the pairs twist :( I like at least one person out of each pair.

Reminds me a bit of the one with Alex Baldwin in it apart from the sexual content of course.
