Just a shame about Muse, oh well

Black Dagger 09-01-2014 03:40 PM

Z 09-01-2014 03:43 PM

I've never fancied going to a festival before but I'd love to go to this one... so many acts I love on that line up! :(

King Gizzard 09-01-2014 03:44 PM

and California so there is no mud n stuff

Z 09-01-2014 03:47 PM

It's like the hot blonde cheerleader of festivals :(

Shaun 09-01-2014 04:10 PM

The people that go there are generally the worst kind of hipsters apparently (since the tickets are about $400+)

It's a shame, since I can name about 50 acts there I'd like to see... bit annoyed at some of the billings though. Lorde more important than the Pet Shop Boys? Please.

Braden 09-01-2014 04:15 PM

omg, I would eat my own **** to be at that festival.

seanraff07 09-01-2014 04:20 PM

Am I the only one that doesn't think it looks great?

Outkast will be an interesting headline act though, few other quality bands in there like Beady Eye, Temples, Bad Manners

If I lived in the area I'd probably pay that price for a ticket though, considering I'd probs pay about £20 to go see a band I really liked, I'd stack up the cost against the number of acts I like and see if it worked out as a bargain for me or not... if I had that kind of money to spare, as well

I know I'd enjoy seeing: Outkast, Zedd, Ellie Goulding, HAIM, AFI, Martin Garrix, Bastille, Aloeblacc, Woodkid, MS MR, Nina Kraviz, Duke Dumont, Austra, Tom Odell / Muse, Skrillex, Pharrell Williams, Foster The People, Pet Shop Boys, MGMT, Empire of the Sun, Fatboy Slim, Nas, Kid Cudi, Sleigh Bells, Solange, Tiga, Bombay Bicycle Club, Holy Ghost!, RL Grime, White Lies, Laura Mvula, Blood Orange / Calvin Harris, Disclosure, Lana Del Rey, Motorhead, Alesso, Duck Sauce, Chance the Rapper, Rudimental, AlunaGeorge, John Newman, Daughter... and then I'd take into consideration that there'd probably be artists that I haven't listened to music of that I'd end up liking too... I'd definitely want to go

Each to their own.

You're right about discovering new artists though, that's the joy of festivals.

I love going to local small festivals that are just for unsigned bands, there is plenty talent out there who can't get a record deal whilst X-Factor runs the modern music industry.

King Gizzard 09-01-2014 04:42 PM
