i suppose if you had access to the rest of the house to hangout in, that wouldn't be too bad, for if that's all you get for £40, that's silly.

If it wasn't your main residence, but just for work, and bearing in mind the cost of commuting and the price of hotels coupled with the amount of money you can earn in London, I'd consider renting it, yes.
