What did you first start doing job-wise and how much did you get paid/how old were you? Doesn't have to be full-time, perhaps simply doing the paper round at 14-ish to save up for clothes/whatever.

..that was it actually..I did a paper round when I was around 11yrs old...
..I honestly can't remember how much I got paid, not very much, it was a long time ago lol...

When i was about 11/12 me and 3 other friends who live down my road used to make car wash slips we'd post through everyone's doors and the next day we would go knocking around and there were up to 20 cars we would do at £5-10 per car so at that age it was a bit of fun and a nice bit of money.

Worked in a potato factory when I was 15, there was a lot of us underage and we used to work in there whilst skipping school, they would make up fake details for us and pay us cash in hand :laugh:

We used to get £22 quid a day.

When I was 16 a friend of mine found a summer job working for the council and he was allowed to invite friends to help... I think I was the only one who did in hindsight. Anyway, all we had to do was put exam results onto the council database at this highschool's computer lounge. It was ridiculously laidback (like 9am-1pm LOL, and we kept going for fish and chips at lunch and playing football in the school's fields) and I got £250~ for 8 days (well, 8x4hrs lol) work. Seemed an amazing sum at the time :laugh:

My first real job was in a call centre selling timeshare :laugh: Good money though for a 16 year old..was a fiver an hour, but for every person I coned into going to a meeting my pay went up by £1 for the next week

Before that for a few months when I was about 14ish I made money by shoplifting and selling the stuff :bored: All my mates did it and were loaded so I tried. Was fantastic money but I felt too bad to keep going and I am glad I stopped before getting a proper record

I had work experience when I was 16 and they liked me enough to offer me a summer job so I spent a summer working in an office helping them reorganise their massive file database; scanning documents in and saving them on computers and then making sure all of the files were in the correct order... was paid £5.95 an hour I think, that figure just jumped at me in my mind when I started typing the post so I'm assuming that was what my pay was... definitely wasn't more than £6, it was in the £5.something region... but yeah I was working full time hours for the whole summer so that was a nice little earner and it looks great on my CV I think that my first job was something I got just out of being good on work experience week!

Paper round when I was about 10 (just literally like around the block, nowhere far, and my Mum used to walk around with me) and I got like £2 a day but like how many sweets could you get back then for £2?!

Then after I worked in my friend's parent's cafe for minimum wage, was cool.

omg this is what my older brother did too one summer in his old school when he was 16... he says he was alone in a computer room and just on youtube most of the time lol

14-15 I made desserts/washed up in an Italian restaurant fri/sat night.

I worked in the bakery section of Dunnes Stores (supermarket) when I was 17, it was part time when i was still at school. hhhmmmm how much did I earn, i think it was something like £70-£80 a week (before we changed to the euro) that was for around 20 hours a week
