Do you like Pickled Onions/Beetroot etc?
 

Do you like Pickled Onions/Beetroot etc? or do you like other pickled things?

If so do you have them with your dinner or only eat them with certain things?

Love pickled beetroot at the minute.
Tend to buy the baby ones.
Hubby and I have been going o town n them since Christmas..on to our third 1kg jar:blush:

Eat them with anything really but not with a roast dinner or a curry etc.

not tried beetroot or cabbage, and don't want to try eggs :yuk:

Yes to pickled onions :love: I'm assuming pickled beetroot is the sliced stuff that comes in a jar? yes to that if so.

Yeah it's either sliced or you can get the baby ones and those are round.

I actually got addicted to pickled onions once when I was younger and I used to tell my mum I wasn't hungry at dinner time then I would fill a bowl with pickles on the sly and eat them :love:

But when my mum found out she went mad and said it would cause acid in my stomach and that would make me ill?

Don't know if she was just winding me up or not though :suspect:

I love all kinds of pickles, except gherkins. My favourite by far is beetroot. I can eat it with a fork straight from the jar.

Beetroot is vile fullstop. Pickled onion/gherkins :love:

I love pickled onions and gherkins :love:. egg is disgusting, never tried anything else pickled but I hate beetroot so I can't imagine I'd like that.

Don;t, they are so rank it beggars belief that people actually eat them.

haven't had them in about three years.


Same with beetroot I used to have it and the small onions are a bit strong, one is ok in a salad.

I never had a pickled egg either, anyway I much prefer fresh things :love:
