Worst Holiday Experiences?
 

After talking to Saph and Lee about their holidays it got me to thinking about mine and I was thinking of all the lovely times and then got thinking to the worst ones.

Touch wood, I cannot say I have really had any major upsets on my hols, but what about any of you? Any horror stories?

I got stranded in Bristol airport when I went to go visit Shaun because my bank had cancelled my card due to "suspicious activity" (I was using it when I was in Germany because that's where my grant money was being paid into) so that was a bit of a hassle and put a downer on the weekend

Terrorists attacked Glasgow airport the day before we were going on a family holiday but thankfully we got to go on holiday, loads of delays though

I got dumped by my ex on the first day of my week over there visiting and had to spend a week together and being introduced to friends I would never meet again and was more or less ignored the whole time and was left by myself for great lengths of time. Think that was probably the worst one :laugh:

We went to Greece with another family we're friends with and they booked these apartments which were quite nice but the owners were sly bitches and the noise every night was crazy because of the scousers at the bar all night. The pool was filthy and the cleaners would hide our belongings under the bed mattress in hope we never noticed and they could claim them once we had left so it would look like they hadn't stolen. Our friends we went with are tight and we'd walk into the main part with all the restaurants and they'd look at every single menu to look at the price of a certain dish and whichever one was the cheapest we'd have to go to that and then non of them even bought the dish they were looking at and spent about 100 euros on wine and beer in the end. Never let other people book a holiday.

both of my holidays last year... awful experiences on both

in march i went to lanzarote with my sisters and i caught the worse chest infection i've ever had. i couldn't sleep. my holiday was ruined because i didn't want to do anything

in august we went to america and met my dads girlfriend. enough said

Went to spain with the school and a bottle of vodka fell from a tile in the ceiling of our room and hit me in the head
there was loads of hidden alcohol in wardrobes

I saw this last week it was crazy

when i was like six i went to france and there was a pool and erm it was a grotty ****ing lake

oh yeah and there was one where i literally had nose bleeds every day, i even started having one in the pool :laugh2: that same holiday on the flight back i had the biggest nose bleed i've ever had and omg it was the most embarrassing thing ever

it was this villa place we used to go in puerto banus every year but i literally got ill every time we went, and now we dont really go

wait this was the same year that i posted on here "does spain have channel 5", so the last time we went was 2012, but idk it was kinda different cos that was my third holiday that year where mainly its either the second or the only

I went to amsterdam in the summer of 2012 with a couple friends. We got on a tram to go to our hostel and unlike in London you tap out your travel card as well as tapping in. When we got to our stop i couldn't find my card to tap out, so everyone else tapped out and i was left stranded on the tram. I then found my card and tapped out at the next stop, however, i forgot to press the 'open' button so i was left on the tram for 2 extra stops. I was on the tram for an extra 10/15 minutes. When i got off i had no idea where i was, i had lost track of where the tram was going, so i called my friends and they had no idea where i was.

I spent an hour looking for the hostel after, the worst bit was asking a group of girls for help. I approached the girls and they refused to help because i was gay, it was ridiculous.

Eventually when i found the hostel my friends had not been aloud into our room until i got there cause they wanted 'all members of the party to be present'. It was one big palaver, after the rocky beginning it turned out to be a great holiday.

I'll actually need about an hour if free time to type out all my holiday mishaps! :laugh:

I fell off a bar stool in Switzerland and got a hell of a bruise.

Popped my knee skiing and had to be stretchered down the mountain. That was *******ing scary. And painful. Much worse than the bar stool thing.

Went to Cornwall in 2007 rained all ****ing week

Terrible I stick with Devon now

Oh good, so me helping with your holiday won't be the worst to happen :laugh:

Apart from having to go to Butlins when I was a kid/teenager..not really

If camping counts them I got bullied a fair bit when I was like 10 with Cub scouts

I don't really go on many Holidays, I'll try and think of one though if there is any.

It was a trip to Rotterdam when i was 19, I don't even want to go into details, it was that bad and embarrassing :laugh:

Coming home is the worst.

Rotterdam was quite nice, it was the company and situation that made it a terrible holiday :laugh:

Unfortunately I hardly ever get to go on holiday :(

Saying that though, the worst from what I actually remember was a family holiday to Ibiza when I was 5. Me and my cousin were playing outside even though it was raining and we ran back into the apartment my family were staying in and I slipped and smacked my head, ended up throwing up violently everywhere and it was my sisters birthday :/ so I was in hospital for 2 or 3 days with a concussion.
