And his Double Standards

The other night when Luisa AND Dappy were running about making noise, Jim gets in a huff with Luisa about it and walks around bitching to himself about her, Dappy comes and says sorry and Jim says, Oh you're fine............huh? Dappy was being as bad as Luisa, why is he fine but Luisa is the Devil??

Then the talent competition task, he says to Sam and Ollie, I won't give you full marks because you were doing something that you already do as a career...........gives Dappy full marks for doing a s**ty rendition of one of his own songs............

I don't get why Jim is popular with the public and I'm not referring to his past or anything that went on prior to the BB house. Ok to his credit he's handled the Linda situation pretty well most of the time but a part from that what's his appeal? He's sooooo grumpy, doesn't like to see anyone else having fun, is so sexist and so full of double standards

Jim wasn't in a huff with Luisa though? when Dappy left the room and Jim was sitting on the sofa drinking tea, Jim said 'Who's screaming? Luisa?

How could have been bitching about her before that when he never knew it was her that was doing it before Dappy said yes

Niamh. 20-01-2014 10:13 AM

Ah he was, he blamed it all on Luisa

Patricia4 20-01-2014 10:13 AM

I see its Jim again.

Dappy isn't making a game out if trying to irritate Jim every day like Luisa is.. It's natural that he ll take more offence to somebody he really doesn't get on with than to somebody that hasn't caused him any real bother.

...I agree it's double standards but I also think that is generally human nature though and something that they're all guilty of..(we are all guilty of..)...if you like someone/get along with them, you're much more tolerant with them and their irritations and if you don't like someone then it can be hard to see beyond their irritations and I think it's probably fair to say that Luisa and Jim are at that point..

Exactly, Lee,Dappy both did their "jobs" but Sam,Ollie didnt win for doing same thing? pathetic double standards

Kate! 20-01-2014 10:20 AM

You'll be shot at dawn by the Jim fans :laugh2:

I'm not slamming Jim fans!!!! I swear. Lol.

It's hard this cos I find his grumpiness hilarious and the comments he comes out with, I don't want him to win though, I love Luisa for what she brings to the show, she's one of the best housemates ever in terms of entertainment. I don't like Dappy personally either but he has again really entertained.

I think this bunch are a fantastic mix, BB really got it right this time, it's been the best series of celeb so far.

Also they are, as ever, crafty with the editing IMO. They choose how to portray individuals in a specific light and tailor the footage they show to reflect and promote that. Damm not having live feed. I suspect there are far more instances of (for example) stuff like Jim and Linda having a laugh, Jim having non grumpy moments, Linda Sam and Ollie actually doing stuff, etc etc than we have been allowed to see. It's not proper fly on the wall anymore :(

I agree it would be seen as double standards to some but he wasn't bitching about her or being huffy about her before he was sitting on the sofas?

He got up and sat there and gets classed as being grumpy but then if he had stayed in bed and shouted at them to shut the hell up he would be classed the same so it doesn't really matter what he does he will still be vilified for it.

I also said this in another thread but I think he probably said to Dappy 'no your alright' because even though Dappy was making a noise he wasn't screaming like a banshee or doing it solely to annoy Jim.

Yeah I posted similar to this in a couple of the threads yesterday, it's not really surprising that he would be more tolerant and forgiving of Dappy who's his friend, and who also took the time to come and apologise, than he would be to Luisa who constantly goes on about how much she hates him and revels in winding him up

Josy 20-01-2014 10:23 AM

I do think he was a bit of a tit last night though when he went into the party and went straight back into the room for no reason, he was a grumpy twat then for nothing.

Being grumpy for not being able to sleep is perfectly acceptable imo though.

CaudleHalbard 20-01-2014 10:23 AM

Jim likes Dappy, dislikes Luisa. And that's about it! ;)

Yeah but I guess you really should expect that when you go into the BB house though

...yeah at the same time I don't think he makes much of a secret of the fact that he doesn't like her, they just don't like anything the other one represents and so everything each one does will annoy the other one ....

Agree ,he left party before a song came on ,every chance it was for camera time as he was alone in bedroom, and it was only just after 10 ,but made himself look stupid by later coming out of the bedroom for a moan ,I would hate to be kept awake, but this IS the BB house, you know when you go in what is likely to happen, if its not your idea of a good time, then dont go in,If I were the others ,when Dappy came in the other night telling them all to be quite because Jim wanted to come to bed,I would have doubled the noise I was making, hes no different to any other housemate, and shouldnt expect to get special treatment

I think Jim's comment about Ollia and Sam was a point that didn;t come across as well as it should....I think it was a dig----they are reality star pros. IE. they know what they are doing in the house...

hhhmm do you think? I didn't get that from it tbh

Well equally so what about Lionel too, the guys do make a noise too but it seems the only complaints as to screeching and over the top noise has been made as to Jasmine and Luisa.

I don't think necessarily the complaints made by both Jim and Lionel over the series is so much about noise in general but the loud hysterical screaming that takes place and goes on consistently.

I do think. Behind those judge's desks there were a lot of politics going on. Jim wants to keep Dappy, Casey, Lee, and Liz onside and think reasonably genuine about his comments about them.

But didn't score Ollie and Sam as much as other two judges but could not come across as the bad guy so sweetly said what he said but I think, as always with Jim, he is the master of being double-edged when he wants to be and I think he sweetly made a point- they are actors, they are acting in the house by not being themselves. He said they were good actors. He meant something I swear...
