Jim and Dappy the martyrs

Oh my god ! Ive brought my mushroom soup up all over my living room, watching Jim the martyr refusing to eat (lasted 10 minutes, but got him a bit more camera time, so thats ok ) then in the kennel, his lapdog Dappy decided HE would be a martyr too, while drinking and ramming nuts by the handful in his mouth, give me the real people anyday ,2 mins from end of show, camera flashes to Jim with a glass of red in his hand :bored:

Vanessa 21-01-2014 09:06 PM

It's the principle and i agree with them. :)

eww i missed that bit. i bet it was lee's

dappy is a naughty hobbit

Withano 21-01-2014 09:13 PM

They came across terribly tonight, BB fans tend to only see what they want to see though so theres little point explaining it on a forum.

Slevin 21-01-2014 09:16 PM

i was lmao when people brought up this "hunger strike" like it was such a noble and heroic thing

Sophiee 21-01-2014 09:30 PM

I agree. at first I thought it was considerate of jim, but the minute dappy told him to eat he was deep into that pan stuffing his face. I think he was game playing the more I think about it and trying to make himself look good. we all know how much he loves his food ;).

Totally agree ,some folk watch the show wearing rose tinted glasses or blinkers, no one surely can say tonight Jim didnt try to make himself look the martyr ( for 10 mins)

They are ruining CBB

Livia 21-01-2014 09:40 PM

No way was Linda going to leave food though, was she.

Not likely, even when Jim makes it too. She has no issue with that clearly.
She really annoys me.

Neither was Jim ,he would have gone in kitchen when everyone in bed to stuff his face

neither was jim realistically, but linda never played up to looking like the good one for protesting not to eat until the huskies did. although I'm not a massive fan of her, I do believe she's real unlike jim with his sneaky game playing.

Great thread, it's a shame only the "minority" can see through him.

smudgie 21-01-2014 10:29 PM

It was quite obvious game playing.
The silly beggar.

Slevin 22-01-2014 04:41 AM

sorry i dont buy Jim's nobility bs one bit either. if you're gonna do it just shut up about it and do it. the fact he had to say it so much throughout the day just makes me think he was playing it up more than meaning it out of the goodness of his heart. i found it funny even Liz thought that. if it wasnt Jim that was doing that i dont even think Dappy would pull that **** either. its like when Evander was there. Dappy & Jim were so far up his ass it was laughable. boo hoo about unfair bs. its BB FFS. there is no such thing as fair. his moral take on it didnt last when someone told him to eat lol. personally if i was on the huskies side i would tell Jim and the others to eat and do whatever cause it would just piss me off if anyone would not eat when they can. its like i quit smoking but i dont want others that do to feel they shouldnt in front of me just cause i dont anymore. i'd feel like a dick. thats just me.

..I think for me, it's not that I didn't think Jim only did it to look good...I think Dappy did it because he's not always the brightest button in terms of logic..(how could he do the task if he didn't eat/had no energy..) but his heart was in the right place and I think he's ruled by his emotions, rather than 'sense'...but for me, all of that didn't really matter because people just make their own minds up about motivations etc and a lot of it's game-playing for most housemates anyway....but it's more what it all caused I that I think that's what really bugged Linda and led to the cherry brandy thing in that she found the thought of Jim ever 'looking good' in anyone's eyes, just unbearable...yeah, Jim wants to 'look good', don't they all..?..but who can blame him, really..well, apart from Linda, that is.....

Spoon 22-01-2014 05:49 AM

ITA, op, they're absolutely passive aggressive martyrs.

Exactly. Like you say, it's hard to know what people's motivations are for their behaviour, because we're all multi-layered, so we often don't even know ourselves.

On a lighter note, I found watching Dappy sitting slumped in a beaten heap saying "Thanks Jim" like he'd been through hell was priceless, because they'd been having a ball in a bar with steak and kidney pie, calamari and booze. It was all a big pretence, and they'd all have had a huge laugh about it all afterwards, if Linda hadn't kicked off and ruined the whole thing.

Right can we move on now and get back to the discussing cbb, thanks.
