Do you mind being pranked?

*totally stolen idea from American Dad*

If someone sets up a surprise to try and scare or embarrass you, do you laugh it off or take it badly? I'm firmly in the latter camp :(

*also watching*

being scared is fine, i laugh it off. I don't really enjoy being humiliated, though i can take it to a certain extent.

joeysteele 23-01-2014 11:31 PM

Depends on the prank but usually no,I don't mind.
You get used to all sorts of pranks while at Uni.

Amy Jade 23-01-2014 11:32 PM

It depends on the prank, I got egged and floured after school on my birthday - that was funny I took it in humour. Another time the boys took my school shirt and put it in the shower and soaked it, I didn't take that well - I thought that was just mean.

Marsh. 23-01-2014 11:32 PM

Depends how big the prank is. I laugh them off in general, I've never had a really bad one that would make me really humiliated though.

Kizzy 23-01-2014 11:34 PM

It depends on what mood I'm in.

This with me as well, the worst is when they know that you're in a foul mood

Drew. 23-01-2014 11:38 PM

Depends, if its a prank that's made to embarrass then i dont mind but its its in front of loads of people then i'd be pissed off. If its something stupid like turning furniture upside down or whatever then i'm easy going.

Jemal 23-01-2014 11:41 PM

Im all for banter.

MTVN 23-01-2014 11:46 PM

Don't mind generally as long as it's not done in a malicious way, you look a lot better for being to take it on the chin and just accept it as a joke than if you get yourself really wound up about it

Probably not a good idea if I'm pissed. Otherwise it's all good (within reason) if it's banter.

Chuck 24-01-2014 12:19 AM

Only lads play pranks, I'm not friends with such people.

MTVN 24-01-2014 12:20 AM

You are the biggest lad on the forum Chuck

Ammi 24-01-2014 04:46 AM

..I don't think I've been pranked very much, or at least just quite gently so I've been fine with it...what I would hate though is something like a surprise party type thing, that would be much worse than a prank for me...

Jords 24-01-2014 04:51 AM

I guess it depends on the extent of the prank, amount of people involved, nature of the prank and corresponding reactions (i.e. to the prank itself and to the revealment).

Im pretty easy-going so I think Id take it well :dazzler:

It would take me a little longer to get over it if the revealment led to feelings of disappointment rather than relief.

Marc 24-01-2014 05:52 AM

I hate it. I feel awkward and want to be stroppy. Like for instance sebody hiding something of yours and making you feel like you've forgotten/lost it. makes me want to skin somebody it's not funny. Gimme me stuff :bawling:

Z 24-01-2014 11:02 AM

Erm with getting scared (someone hiding and jumping out or whatever) I laugh it off but other than that I don't generally get pranked, I think people know not to

Natalie. 24-01-2014 11:49 AM

Depends what it was really, I can take it well or I can be mad.

Benjamin 24-01-2014 07:08 PM

Laugh it off usually

Livia 24-01-2014 07:38 PM

I don't mind if it's friends and it's quiet and just between us... but if it's a big thing meant for maximum embarrassment I'd have a complete sense of humour failure. I don't like being the centre of attention and to be made fun of would bring out the mass-murderer in me.

smeagol 24-01-2014 07:43 PM

i'm not a fan of pranks really.. something harmless and silly i like though. but not the other stuff
like make someone a cup of tea and leave the t bag in it. thats silly but funny and harmless.

Samm 24-01-2014 07:58 PM

Only if I know someone well then I don't mind
