A round of applause for Lee

He's a deluded dick, but what a fantastic housemate.

The fact that there wasn't enough time in that interview to even begin to cover everything, plus his best bits - have proven just how much he's brought to this series. Whatever you think of him as a person, there is no denying that he's been a great housemate and has played a very big part in the success and popularity of this series, how much it has been talked about and as a result - the extension.

Same of course applies to Luisa, Jim and Jasmine (and Linda, Dappy and Casey), all of them the stars of this incredible series :worship:

no thanks

Samm 26-01-2014 09:56 PM

He was not entertaing to watch at all he made me cringe every time he was on he was disgusting

MrWong 26-01-2014 09:56 PM

Housemates with no filter :flutter:

I don't understand why people always have this attitude that entertaining is equated with good and positive things. Entertainment is also the bad and ugly. We have all been entertained by Jim and Linda; Dappy and Luisa; Lee, Jasmine and Casey; Lionel and Luisa; Liz and Evander; Jim and Luisa... Lee was cringe worthy to watch, utterly detestable in his attitude towards women and his lack of self awareness, his inability to accept any blame - but all of that was highly entertaining; watching a 30 year old man act like an immature teenager and make a complete tit out of himself, yet at the same time there was the fun immature side to Lee that was up for a laugh and pulled funny faces and did funny things. He was a highly entertaining housemate. Almost all of them this series have been.

Cherie 26-01-2014 10:02 PM

Lee was everything you could ask for in a housemate. He literally forgot he was on camera. Denying anything happened in the toilet to Jasmines face was just the best.

Agreed. It's been a corker.

Lee has been a major part of the series and one of the most entertaining romance situations in the history of BB.

He has been a wally in the house and frustrating how much he squirms out of responsibility for his actions, only caring for his reputation over the feelings of others.

But he has been a killer HM in a killer series for sure.

Jordan. 26-01-2014 10:10 PM

As much as he annoyed me in there, he was a good housemate and has helped draw lots of attention back to the show so http://a.mod-site.net/s/appl.gif

Lee, Casey, Jasmine, Dappy, Luisa, Jim and Linda are responsible for bringing so much public attention back to Big Brother. Liz really shone. Lionel and Evander even had their moments. I really hope this is a springboard for the next civilian series to get great ratings, the Channel 5 team have got it so right this time around, huge well done to them.

Macie Lightfoot 26-01-2014 10:15 PM

He really wasn't all that but I know there's some weird forum fetish about "talking points"

alex_front2 26-01-2014 10:16 PM

Lee was a great cbb hm, he got everyone talking and tweeting, does sam and olly do that?

Natalie. 26-01-2014 10:17 PM

I agree :D great housemate

Pincho Paxton 26-01-2014 10:17 PM

It's about time he got the clap! :joker:

Jack_ 26-01-2014 10:17 PM

^ well there'd have been no extension if it weren't for him and a few others. Twitter, forums, the media and people in real life certainly haven't been talking about Sam and Evander as much as the others, that's for sure.

If anything the talking points argument is now more relevant and able to be proven than ever

Natalie. 26-01-2014 10:20 PM

Hope all this carries over to the normal BB

Why do you watch Big Brother then, troy? Do you prefer a Big Brother 4 style series over something like Celebrity Big Brother 13? I'm genuinely asking. I don't watch Big Brother for moral guidance or to find a new best friend, I watch it to see what happens in the house. This series has been all about negative drama; but I'd be equally entertained if it were full of intelligent debates because we could discuss those to death on here. Sam and Ollie have done the bare minimum in the house and have barely sparked discussion on here up until the fence sitting task which was specifically done to get them to be of interest. It's a bit pathetic.

Lee totally deserved to go tonight and I detest Jim and up to tonights highlights show I wanted him to go but I saw Lee lie and mutter and try and tell Jasmine that nothing happened between him and Casey and was even trying to say the same to Emma but she was having none of it. Casey is almost as bad as Lee as she knew he was intimate with Jasmine and that he had dumped Casey once the sheckles were off. Then Jas is evicted Lee is in tears and next thing Casey comes cuddling and kissing again. It is totally both of their fault but mainly Lee. Of course Jim told Casey tonight that her parents would be proud of her. To be honest if she was my daughter I would have cringed watching her chasing Lee not that he needed much chasing. Lee wanted the adoration of two goodlooking women and he got it. Casey was for the most part totally immature throughout the whole scenario and acted like a silly schoolgirl with a crush. Neither Lee or herself can lie about what happened and if I was Jas I would take the first flight back to America once the final is over and let Lee with his little worshipper. I didn't like Lee from day one then I warmed to him a bit cos he was entertaining but his lies to Jas tonight and to Emma have sealed his fate. Good riddance. Sorry my post is so long xx

Good post. Totally agreed.

joeysteele 26-01-2014 10:30 PM

I agree he has had people talking and it has heightened the BB profile this year.

For me, I had high hopes for him as a housemate really but I just found him a massive let down,I really hate romances and love triangles anyway, especially when they take over the series like this did.

I cannot however argue against the fact it has generated a great deal more interest in BB,(people I know even are talking about BB who haven't done so for ages),so for that alone he has played his part in a really good BB series.

Lee's a simpleton who didn't really deliver anything new after the first week. Recycled self-pity and self-victimizing isn't my cup of tea tbh

I agree with you, but isn't that more interesting to analyse and discuss than watching Ollie flip the direction of his hair in the mirror and Sam take her make up on and off? Neither of them have had anything worthwhile to say throughout their time in there. I'm sure they're both lovely people but they've done nothing worth discussing in there. If the two of them had been having a laugh while the other 10 housemates were all off spouting bitchy comments and shocking attitudes towards women/men/sex/animals then I think most people would be behind the two of them, but instead they just hovered around all the drama without getting involved in any way at all.

optimisticcynic 26-01-2014 10:44 PM

Utter muppet, but his utter lack of self-awareness and belief that the cameras were just for show and he could retell history actually made me laugh during the interview. Lee won me over today, not because I've been fooled, but in the sense that he is not smart enough to be dangerous, so cannot be hated for doing wrong. He's like a puppy that's chewed your slippers. His 2month relationship with Jasmine will start tonight.

Wow it's almost like it's possible to acknowledge the shortcomings of other HMs without praising one of the most obnoxiously self-pitying HMs ever.

So what do you want to see on your TV? I'd really like to know. I'm not saying I want to watch Lee Ryan's soft core porn and philandering, but that I'd rather see that and discuss that than have a house full of Sams and Ollies who are too concerned with their public image and preserving it to actually say or do anything worth discussing.

Macie Lightfoot 26-01-2014 11:02 PM

I'm not a fan of Sam or Ollie so I don't know why you're obsessed with comparing my dislike of Lee to my feelings toward them.
