Does it annoy you when housemates talk to themselves and/or cameras

It thoroughly ruffles my feathers.

Dappy even winked to a camera tonight and I nearly kicked a kitten

Jake. 28-01-2014 08:15 PM

The poor kitten

If you nearly kicked my kitten, I would stab you!

It does really annoy, especially when they talk to themselves. It's so cringey. Although the wink at the camera didnt really bother me

smeagol 28-01-2014 09:00 PM

yeah big time. just shows they are aware and acting.

Pincho Paxton 28-01-2014 09:22 PM

Even when they get out of the house they continue to talk to the mirror...

Honestly, speaking to themselves/the camera doesn't bother me so much

joeysteele 28-01-2014 09:31 PM

Not really, not all the time anyway.

Northern Monkey 28-01-2014 09:32 PM

Yeah,It always has annoyed me a little,Even in civ BB.

Beastie 28-01-2014 09:34 PM

No because sometimes I talk to myself.

Jack_ 28-01-2014 09:38 PM

Not in the slightest, I'd imagine there's a hell of a lot of downtime and talking/following round cameras may be some of the only mild entertainment you could get

Plus so long as they're actually entertaining the viewer and acknowledging that they're there then I don't really care tbh

Brother Leon 28-01-2014 09:47 PM

Nop. I like it when a HM talks us through what they are doing/planning tbh. Whether in the Diary Room or to the camera.

Sophiee 28-01-2014 11:05 PM

sort of. I feel like most of the time they're just doing it for attention and the cameras purely. then sometimes I guess it may be genuine, if you're bored or you just want to think things over in your head aloud.

abhorson 28-01-2014 11:09 PM

Dappy threatening to show me up with that horses dangler. yeah.

Chuck 28-01-2014 11:19 PM

It doesn't when I think they're genuinely just talking to themselves and it does when I get the feeling they're talking to the viewers and trying too hard to be entertaining, Dappy does that all the time but I just ignore it because I can't stand him anyway.
The housemate that I irritated me the most for doing it was the one who looked like this

because she was just a coward who couldn't confront Queen Carol.

Slevin 29-01-2014 05:27 AM

the way Dappy goes about it it is. Dappy is full on cringe facepalm annoying at times.

BBUS8 they had a guy on there called Evel Dick and he would in the wee hours like well after midnight be the only one up and talk to himself but not looking at a camera. just sitting outside smoking and let us know whats going through his head and what he wanted and needed to get done game wise. i really liked that and wish more people would do that but the US game is different. plus they had feeds so we would see it. they never showed that stuff on the eps. if someone did that on UK probably wouldnt really see that either. especially with no feeds.

Jamesy 29-01-2014 07:12 AM

If I was in the house I'd end up talking to myself a lot. Talking to the cameras is bound to happen too if you're walking around a room and you can see that little robotic thing following you in the corner of your eye.

At the end of the day you're in a house full of cameras. You really cannot forget that! So I don't blame them. A lot of people talk to themselves too, some find it an easier way to process their own thoughts.

On form Pincho, on form.

bez87 29-01-2014 10:55 AM

No it passes time, i mean no there not looking into the camera for attention it's a small minute from a 24 hour day i mean come on they have no tv, no music, no nothing to keep them busy, it's called boredom, and half of them can't act so that's utter rubbish, they just do it to amuse themselves for awhile, end of the day they know and we know there being filmed of course they are aware of the camera's this game has been going on for years and years i was in school when this show started if i can remember and i am now 26 so people know about it and how it works.

..I guess it depends on how it's done, sometimes it's entertaining like with Alex and Arron, and sometimes it's just trying too hard.. but it's always obvious that it's 'staged', I guess it depends on the gameplayer/housemate...

..what happened to the kitten, Withano..?...

Yes, that's very true, it does annoy me when Dappy does it but when Alex sang to the cameras that time was one of the funniest moments of BB

..that Alex moment was legendary.....after that, he was my favourite to the final...I think Arron did something similar as well in the bedroom when he wouldn't join the others..?..maybe not directly to the cameras but it was obviously still 'staged' for the viewers and so funny...
