Are you good at cooking/baking?

Well?

Poll coming.

I'm not very good at it at all, I see it as a chore rather than a pleasure.

Saph 02-02-2014 12:18 AM

I'm good at cooking, baking not so much

Black Dagger 02-02-2014 12:20 AM

I burnt pizza last night.. so no.

I am only good at those you know ready made cake mix' ****.

My brother is good, he makes really nice pastas <3.

Josy 02-02-2014 12:23 AM

I can cook great but can't bake at all, have tried and failed many times.

Black Dagger 02-02-2014 12:24 AM

I do love the cookery shows though, I watched Ching He Huang on food network all day though yesterday pmsl.

Shaun 02-02-2014 12:24 AM

Better at baking than cooking but I'm OK with chinese/indian stuff... just never tried classic stuff.

InOne 02-02-2014 12:28 AM

I could be if I wanted to but convenience kills me

Jack. 02-02-2014 12:28 AM

I don't know how some people can't even bake a cake :joker:

Kizzy 02-02-2014 12:30 AM

I'm ok at cooking sort of 'family favourites' doing a lot of stir frys atm, I don't bake though..just had a go at flapjack and got it soooo wrong :(

MTVN 02-02-2014 12:30 AM

Big fan of food but the actual preparing/making/cooking/baking of it is just a hassle, takes far too long to do it properly and not enjoyable at all, hence why I all I eat is convenient foods where the oven/microwave/whatever can do all the work

GypsyGoth 02-02-2014 12:30 AM

I learned how to cook a few years ago and I'm pretty good at making a few types of meals.

As for baking, I've taken that up this year. I do like it. I've made a few different types of cakes, and I've successfully made meringues. I'll stick at it, but I prefer cooking, although maybe when I get better at baking and confident enough to stray form the recipes, it might become more fun.

BigSister 02-02-2014 12:35 AM

Better at baking than cooking but not really good at either really

Sophiee 02-02-2014 12:38 AM

I don't mind cooking and I like to try the end result, I'm quite good if I'm following a recipe but without one I'd be terrible .

Princess 02-02-2014 12:47 AM

I cook every day, bake every now and then and everyone always eats my food which I would think means it's good, I watch a load of cooking shows too, Bake Off is my fav, yay Bake Off.

Ammi 02-02-2014 03:45 AM

..I'm not as bad as I sometimes say I am..but sometimes I'm as bad as I say I am..I like to try flavours out together and sometimes it works amazingly and sometimes it doesn't work spectacularly....

Jords 02-02-2014 04:09 AM

Ive learnt curries, bolognese, fajitas etc. this second year at uni, pretty good although they are relatively simple. Cooking is quite fun

Never baked ever.

LemonJam 02-02-2014 10:59 AM

I'm a horrible cook, but I try.

I just sour cream or butter to pretty much everything and hope for the best.

smudgie 02-02-2014 11:04 AM

Hmmmm, where is the 'good at it but can't be bothered' option.

I suppose I must be ok as I did it for a living for years.
Maybe I am all cooked/baked out, I just can't be that bothered lately, anything easy suits me.

Z 02-02-2014 12:42 PM

Never attempted baking. I can cook quite well but like others have said I don't really enjoy doing it, I eat when I'm hungry so I'm never bothered about making these fancy meals that require a great deal of preparation, usually I just have a tin of soup for dinner, been trying (and it's working!) to lose weight over the last six months and I've managed to lose over a stone with just some better choices in what I eat, so yeah...

Beastie 02-02-2014 01:08 PM

I'm good at eating. Does that count?

Anyone who can read can cook. I'm okay at it, everyone should be if they follow a recipe. However, I hate it, and prefer to sparkle in other rooms.
