Transcendence

Quote:

Starring: Johnny Depp, Kate Mara, Rebecca Hall, Paul Bettany, Cillian Murphy and Morgan Freeman

A terminally ill scientist downloads his mind into a computer. This grants him power beyond his wildest dreams, and soon he becomes unstoppable
Directed by Wally Pfister (Chris Nolan's usual cinematographer).

Like Interstellar this looks like it could be great.

Watched this tonight. Apparently it got terrible reviews and flopped at the box office, despite the screenplay being on the Hollywood blacklist for a couple of years.

I really enjoyed it though, a pretty thought provoking theme and somehow seems original despite films like I Robot having a similar theme. Excellent cast and performances, especially Rebecca Hall (secondary female in Iron Man 3) who keeps it emotionally grounded and superb effects and cinematography, probably since the director is Chris Nolans cinematographer

Really excellent film though, I'd recommend it. Ignore the critics on this one.
