I've renamed this forum to cover the Winter Olympics. There is Figure Skating on at the moment.

The whole thing is already a disaster. It doesn't even feel like a real Olympics.

I'm usually a huge Olympics fan but this year just feels like some cheap imitation of the Olympics. It all feels like a Will Ferrell movie.

I'm going to go INSANE when T.A.T.U turn up.

Enjoyed what I saw of it yesterday.

I love the Winter Olympics and will be glued.

The actual venues/stadiums look awesome more spent here than all the rest of the Winter Olympics put together.
I do worry they spend so much for the world stage, hopefully the people of Russia are as well looked after:spin:

The opening ceremony is happening now and the bbc are still giving us a tour around Sochi :idc:

This will probably be one of our best showings if all the hype pays off, and yet it's in such a ****hole. So depressing.

Do we have about 80 Olympics channels this time like we did for the London games.

This is rather beautiful imo, very similar to our own summer opening. Obviously I don't feel as moved since I'm not from Russia, but they are putting on a good show.

It's a shame that in reality there is a very, very ugly country behind this ceremony.
