Confirmed Val has contracted HIV, what a brave storyline.

Sad SL but in terms of reminding folk of dangers of unprotected sex glad we have another HIV plot where a long standing big character contracts this.

Too many soaps merely have STD scares eg Kim not having HIV and Whitney's 1 week chlamydia in EE. Like the fact it's an over 50 age character and not a feckless youth as the older generation have oneof the fastest growing STD/ STI rates

Wow. They've chosen a great actress to entrust the storyline to. I can imagine this being excellent. Charlie Hardwick can be very impassioned.

I thought it would be like Kim in EE who had a 2 min scare (can't slate EE too much as they did do the Mark Fowler SL Zin 1980s/ 1990s)
