How many more of these tragedies have to happen before people realise dogs and babies/small kids are not a good mix. There had been many complaints of the dog being aggressive as well.

INB4 "pit bulls should stay banned". Staffy's/pit bulls are by nature terriers yes, but also when PROPERLY SOCIALISED are affectionate and "clown" dogs, great with kids.

Always seems to be "pit bull types" that attack kids, well, these articles seem to get blown up the most. God knows how many dog attacks there are each day but it's hardly any other breed.

Ever seen a poorly socialised Labrador? Terrifying, would literally rip you apart.

Poor girl though, parent's fault. Not the dog, not anything else, the parent's.

Don't have any animal if you can't look after it (or kids for that matter!!).

Dogs are animals and as such can never be properly tamed only controlled. We cannot truly trust these pets as they have the ability to see red and go into a fighting frenzy for whatever reason. As such we have to always be vigilant when dogs are around babies and young children as they are capable of inflicting physical harm.

However with most dogs it is a calculated risk as the damage most pet dogs can inflict is limited by their size , and in the event they are beloved family pets.

But to be honest , attack dogs like Pit bulls and Japanese Tosa's are so strong that they are capable of inflicting serious physical damage on adults let alone children. So why oh why under any circumstances would you want what is basically an 8 stone animal in a confined space with your children....

Utter madness on all levels.... There is no reasoning on this and adults with children who insist these dogs are safe and good family pets have taken leave of their senses.

These dogs are banned with good reason.... In the last 12 years there have been 19 fatalities connected to attacks by dangerous dogs..

When are people finally going to get the message...!!!!
