Heroes to be brought back as a miniseries called Heroes: Reborn

Either this could go great or completely wrong (Still wished that they released the Virus at the end of the second volume.)

Bloody hell I remember this. I remember watching the first series and thinking this was the best thing since sliced bread. I especially liked the cop guy. Shame they went and screwed it up.

The first season was excellent, then it went sadly downhill, though I watched it until the end. I remember that the original idea was that each season would be completely standalone, much the same as "American Horror Story", but there was fan pressure to stick with the same group of characters and continue that story. A mistake, in my opinion. they could have had fan favourites still feature on and off season to season but had a completely new focus and story arc each time ... could have been great.

instead they turned Sylar (a great and really cold villain) into an emo, and then to make matters worse, they nerfed Peter Petrelli! he might have had daft hair, but his ridiculously out of proportion powers made him awesome and a perfect counterbalance to Sylar. But emo Sylar didn't need a counterbalance so they just... Just raped poor Peter.

Everyone was waiting for a massive Petrelli / Sylar deathmatch and it never happened. That made it lame. Though I always suspected they simply didn't have the special effects budget for it on a TV show. That said - Smallville always managed to have fairly convincing superpowered battles sooo...

Anyway! I'll still give it a go. Hope theres more focus on the powers and less on the emo storylines.

the Writers stirke killled it.

It would be nice to have it back cuz is have a lot of potential but they should have renamed the series to 'The Petrellis' ; I think it was too much about them. I read that there were supposed hundreds of Heroes in the initial ideas but the series tended to concentrator far too much on just a few.

Heroes Reborn: Jack Coleman to return as 'HRG' Noah Bennet

Jack Coleman will return to the rebooted series of popular TV show Heroes, NBC has announced.

The actor, who played former company agent Noah Bennet - also known as HRG or “Horn-Rimmed Glasses”- is the first cast member confirmed to return to the new miniseries Heroes Reborn.

The official Heroes Reborn Twitter account confirmed the news yesterday, tweeting: “He’s back. HRG Returns.”

Original creator Tim Kring is set to direct the new series, which will draw on the show’s first series in which ordinary people discovered they have extraordinary powers.

Further details about the Heroes Reborn plot line have yet to be announced, with producers keen to keep developments secret.

Original cast members Zachary Quinto and Milo Ventimiglia are also rumoured to be returning to the rebooted series, but no official announcements have been made.

Masi Oka, who played Hiro Nakamura in the original series, hinted at a possible return to the show on Twitter when the reboot was announced in February.

“Was watching the Olympics and saw the #HeroesReborn trailer. Time to dust off the sword?” he wrote.

Heroes became an instant hit when its first series debuted in 2006, pulling in an average audience of 14.5 million viewers.

But the figures later plummeted and it was axed in 2010 after fans and critics became frustrated with the show’s creative direction.
:amazed:

I hope they dont over-use him again though... Also Milo has confirmed he wont be returning as Peter.

Synopsis:

"The saga behind the 2006 breakout series Heroes will continue as creator Tim Kring returns to the fold and develops new layers to his original superhero concept. This highly anticipated 13-episode miniseries will reconnect with the basic elements of the show's first season where ordinary people were waking up to the fact that they had extraordinary abilities. This series will be preceded by a new digital series that will introduce audiences to the new characters and storylines that will take the Heroes phenomenon to new places."

Perfect!!!!!

Yeah, the first Season was AMAZING!!!!!! "Save the Cheerleader...Save The World!!!" :cheer2:

I actually enjoyed the second Season too but after that it just went right downhill and was barely recognizable as the same show.

Hiro was a great character! I loved it at the start of the second Season when he got transported back to medieval Feudal Japan!!! Brilliant stuff!

I didn't really realize how long ago this show started until now! 2006...wow!!!

I particularly remember watching the second Season because it was still when we had to wait for ages for new shows to make it to the UK. The first Season aired on TV here and i was hooked and it killed me when i heard that the second Season was airing in the US but there wasn't even a air date over here for it.:(
I then discovered Torrents and Warez and the like (i was a member of a really awesome site called 'NinjaVideo' which was a revelation to me!!!) and before i knew it i had the whole of Heroes Season 2 on my hard drive to watch at my leisure! I was in heaven!!!
