Spring starts this saturday
 
1st of March is start of the meteorological (weather) Spring.

England and Wales have had their wettest winter for 250 years.:shocked:

Spring runs march 1 to may 31

Yes but this date needs to change
as the weather is not the same

And next year when we have a hard winter and not a crocus is out by March 1 do we change it back?

There are daffs out down south but they wont flower to April in the North, how do we manage that?

Beggar the lazy meteorological dept. and their 1st of the month season changes.
The seasons change with the Equinox, Spring Equinox is 3 weeks tomorrow.
3 weeks of winter left:hugesmile:

You are mistaking astronomy with meteorology. Weather happens in the Troposphere. Spring equinox does not relate directly to weather.

A spring in a mattress is not weather related either.

Yeah, well Spring starts with the Vernal Equinox in the Northern Hemisphere

Friday the 20th March is the first day of Spring.
Not a clue what the weather will be like..we can get snow in Spring, can't beat the great British weather:joker:
