Anyone here never been on a train?

I use them all the time and they're pretty convenient for a lot of people I'd say. It's hard to imagine anyone going through life without going on one, even if it's just a steam train to take in a view or whatever. I guess it could be possible if you always have been driven or drive everywhere, also if you just never leave your village!

I really don't like trains but I have been on one (maybe about 6 times)

I can't look out of the window whilst it's moving or I get a really bad headache.

I hate the tube even more than the train.

only use the DLR, tube and overground, never been on those trains that take you out of the city

When i was a kid my parents brought us on a train to go to Disney World, and we slept on a carriage with a glass roof, it was cool sleeping on a train with the stars overhead. We didn't know we were going to Disney World, they just told us we were going on a train ride, and honestly, just riding on the train was exciting enough as it was. I loved it. You can imagine how we (my brother and I) reacted when we found out we were going to Disney World.

That put a smile on my face, how lovely! That's a nice memory to have. A glass roof sounds cool!

I love trains but don't like the underground cos it makes me feel claustrophobic and trapped.

Have a 4 hour or so train journey every time I go to Uni or back so pretty used to it now, I do quite enjoy train travel really, with the routes often going quite rural you get some good scenery and its a nice bit of time to just read or listen to music or whatever, I get some good thinking done on trains

That Disney world trip sounds cool.. :)

I went on a 'sleeper' train to London when I was little.. then we took the regular train to come back home..

Other than that, I've taken the train to Glasgow a few times.. but I don't use trains on a regular basis.

The only times I go on trains is to go from Pudsey town centre to Leeds city centre. It's just so much quicker and cheaper than the bus.

I've been on the Orient Express but only on a day trip....would love to go on a sleeper train.

I want to do the journey Alex did...

Been on the sleeper trains in Africa, from South Africa to Zimbabwe, through the Kalahari, think we were on 3 full days and nights, tiny bunks, hot stifling weather etc, but a great adventure.
Done the full journey 4 times in all.

Much prefer the train to Whitby through the Esk Valley.

not regularly or anything but sometimes. I really love long train journeys, so relaxing .
