Can we have a 'who quoted me' bar please
 

Replacing the poll on the sidebar which is totally pointless. It'd show the threads where you've been quoted or tagged (say for example I made a thread about something that might be of importance to Vicky and so I tag @Vicky in order to grab her attention). I think that would be good

why did you use a mods name as an example to try and make this happen

It's possible to have a who quoted me add on (if there's one for our version of vbulletin) but the panel would be in the user cp not the side bar of the forum, not sure if James will add it though.

The tag thing is different, not sure we would even need that.

Just use the advanced search function, and type your username in the "keywords" section. Set it to show up as posts not threads, and there you go.

Searching your forum username screams of "member who hasn't logged in for 8 months and wants to see if anyone cares they've been gone", not naming any names but the kind of user who logs in to post 500 pictures in Meet The Members and then disappears for another year

I always just use the search function.

Using @ to get someone's attention in a post is a really good idea too, can be useful if you forget to go back to a thread and someone replies to you
