Good to see teachers in the news for not having sex with pupils for once.

Sign Of The Times

Hardly, considering just a few decades ago it was deemed acceptable to treat those with disabilities terribly in school.

You can't use physical punishments on kids like that, the teacher is an idiot and deserves her suspension

Most definitely, but my post was on about arista describing it as sign of the times, when equally vile teachers have always been doing things like that. Especially back in the day.

Yes the parents have asked the school
to not allow her back.

Nedusa 04-03-2014 04:45 PM

What's wrong with that...........perfectly normal way to shut them up

They should be thankful she had a roll of tape nearby, it could have been staples !!!

Shaun 04-03-2014 04:46 PM

honestly... next they'll be banning waterboarding for late homework

If she can't cope with giggling kids in primary school without resorting to stuff like this then why the hell is she a teacher? You have to have some kind of knack for dealing with them.

She's already with younger kids. :D

The younger you go the less likely the child is to listen to you telling them to shut up.

Put her in a nursery with babies and she'd kill them.

Yes, as opposed to children being beaten up for the most trivial of reasons a few decades ago. Stop looking over things with rose-tinted spectacles.

bbfan1991 04-03-2014 09:03 PM

OMG! Kids can be a pain, we all were when we were younger but this Teacher should be sacked if they cannot cope with the pressure and doing something like that is unacceptable.

Sellotape. That's awful. Duct tape would have been better.

Funnily enough, my first thought was "There's no way sellotape would hold...".

Even with duct tape you need a proper named brand, run-of-the-mill poundshop stuff is just going to work loose.

Imagine what damage duct tape would do to their giggling little gobs if a bit of measly sellotape gave them rash.
