£1.2m raised for charity
Teletext are reporting that over £1.2m was raised for charity from the phone voting this year.
The money raised will be split equally between three charities - Shelter, a teenage cancer charity and a third of the winner's choice, taking the winners total prize to £500,000. Over £250,000 was raised from the controversial "Bring back" vote where all C4's and Endemol's proceeds were donated to charity on top of the usual 10p per vote. |
This would mean in the normal evictions and the final a total 9.5 million votes were cast.
Which doesn't seem very many! I wonder if the ever increasing cost of phoning the program is having an effect on the number of people voting. |
You cannot slag off Big Brother when its raising over a million pound for charity.

Has someone in the press being slagging off Big Brother, for raising 1.2 million?
|
Well done BB.
Good work  |
So the shows producers must be chuffed when added to the £60,000 per hour of television provided they get.
|
Its quite a relief that so much does go to charity. Its appropriate really.
