Technology has made babies so smart now omg

When I show a video on my iPad to my little cousin who is just above a year and a half (I refuse to say it in months) she takes it off me and likes to swipe the screen with her finger and browse through more videos, and if one video still interests her (like if it's a video of her) she'll press the play button in the centre. And when she gets bored of it she'll continue to swipe searching for any other video stills that intrigue her, and once she reaches the end and there's no more videos left, she's aware of it and starts swiping back in the opposite direction. and if she swipes too fast and accidentally misses a video she knows how many times to swipe backwards to get back to it

Like wtf how does she know how to do this when shes 1

Its quite scary really..I mean Skye at 15 months (I will say it in months :p ) will unlock my phone, get on my facebook and scroll it down slowly. Obviously she cant read yet, but I think she likes looking at the pictures or something, because she goes bloody mental if you try to take it off her and stops sometimes and beams while showing things to you...:umm2:

I know thats not quite the same thing, but I still think its pretty good for a baby

Tried turning it off before giving her it the other day and she managed to turn it on too

Gavins phone has a password thing but hes just got it set to like a tick shape, and she sat watching him a few times, then the next day did the pattern herself to get on it

I remember getting a mobile at about 10 year old (they were a lot rarer when I was a kid /old ) and being so confused by it, and this was just a normal nokia too :S

My little brother has just turned 2 and he can work the tablet better than my mum, it's scary how clever he is with it! He also knows how to turn on the TV and how to get to Cbeebies!

I think it's quite scary and I'm not totally sure it's a good thing either, I saw a video of a kid of a similar age being handed an iPad and she was doing all what you described, her dad then gave her a magazine/book and she was tapping it as if it were interactive :umm2: that's worrying

Things started to go wrong when we stopped beating children, I was beaten as a child and nothing bad happened to me. Now its MY time to do the beating.

My little nephew knows how to switch on the pc and put games on. He's only three. :joker:

My brother was the same from about 2, he knew more about working the iPad than my mother. Even when it came to doing the software updates.

I could just about manage the magnetic sketchers at that age.

My three year old asks where "his" iPad is all the time. He's good on it but I do limit his time in there. He also knows my phone lock code after me telling him once. I feel cruel changing it on him.
