Martin Amis : Sexual domination is a fantasy for many women.

“I talked to women about this and they said,
it is a good fantasy, especially
when you’re young, because if
you enjoy it, it’s not your fault.”

Martin Amis, the outspoken British novelist,
is in hot water after some rather ill-chosen
words about women, sex and consent.
Dr Brooke Magnanti, a fan of his books,
is surprised anyone expected
anything better from him

This was debated on the Wright stuff this morning.

Its a Fantasy Role Play
that the Lady wants
then thats fine.

That's it Honey

Kizzy 20-03-2014 11:11 AM

The article was written by Belle De Jour... :joker:

Anyhoo, being 'ravished' and being 'raped' are not the same..

Crimson Dynamo 20-03-2014 11:15 AM

Iv never met a woman who did not like a bit of that but what Kizzy says above

lostalex 20-03-2014 11:30 AM

and some women fantasize about getting ****ed by dogs, there;s a fetish for everyone. anything you can think of, there's a woman who fantasizes about it, what;'s your point?

human sexuality is individual. we're all snow flakes, no 2 are exactly the same. there's a huge variety. nothing shocking about that.

Tom4784 20-03-2014 11:31 AM

It's a bit of an overreaction, like Kizzy said, being ravished and being raped are two completely different things.

I think he has a point though, I'm not exactly well versed in chick-lit but I'm willing to bet you'll find a lot more Bella Swans, Sookie Stackhouses and whatever the bint's name is in Fifty Shades over more dominant female lead characters.

Vanessa 20-03-2014 11:32 AM

A bit of role play can be fun, but rape? No, thanks.

We can take that out of it.

lostalex 20-03-2014 11:34 AM

Just because you like aggressive sex under very specific circumstances, doesn't mean you want all men to be aggressive.

women like CERTAIN men, that they choose, and feel comfortable with, to be aggressive in some ways.

that doesn't mean that they would be attracted to an ugly man being aggressive.

it's always dangerous for this kind of thing to be discussed, because then some men think it means they should be aggressive towards women in order to be attractive.

and then you hear the usual crap from rejected men "well i thought women wanted an aggressive assertive man, why do they send mixed signals??"

 I'm sure some people would be up for it. As long as it's consenting adults i don't have a problem with it. But it's not for me.

lostalex 20-03-2014 11:39 AM

women want HOT guys to be assertive and dominate, not ugly guys. let's get that clear.

Beauty is very subjective though. What i find attractive someone else might not.

Kizzy 20-03-2014 11:51 AM

It's got jack all to do with looks.

Agreed. It's way more than that.

lostalex 20-03-2014 11:56 AM

How is it then that straight men always complain about getting laid when so many women seem to say it's not about looks? I'm just confused.

you straight people are so crazy :P i just don't get it.

the truth 20-03-2014 12:03 PM

trouble is so many women lie about these matters that it becomes very difficult to believe them. the ones who lie give a bad name to those true victims. the ones who do lie to police and judges with false allegations simply out of spite or for financial gain need to go to prison for a long time. this is the only way to send the message out to these thousands of lying women

Vanessa 20-03-2014 12:06 PM

And what exactly is your point? It's been sad that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so what's to add to that?
